Dr Purcell is an excellent doctor!!! He is very knowledgable and he has a wonderful and sweet bedside manner. I have been with the practice for 17 years and he has always been very helpful and knows my history by heart

I have been a patient a long time, many other patients have told me similar stories from this article, Linda and Jane are great!!!,receptionist Pat, Adrienne and Dale are so unprofessional,nasty,rude, loud,and talk about the patients loud enough that you can hear or when you are at the window they look at you then whisper which is extremely rude or they ignore you.Ex. I was the only person in the office and Pat, Adrienne and Arlene were the only ones at desk,looked right at me and ignored me,didn't help me,they were not doing anything,another customer comes in after me,they said hi,laughed with her,talked and helped them before me,Ex. I was only one in room Linda said hello, immediately helped me,Adrienne & Pat looked at me,listened to what I needed, and then whispered and kept looking at me.Ex.once waiting to be seen I heard Pat make an appt and said we only have 7:30pm left,she hung up said to Adrienne laughing"I don't like him so I told him that was the only appt but I had 2 & 3pm,they both laughed. Pat and Adrienne say "only appt take it or leave it" I heard Dale talking about sex and underwear,that is disgusting.I think it is sad that they are talking about patients and loud enough for us to hear and ignore patients at window.

Arlene mgr,she is so unprofessional, nasty, loud,rude,talks about patients and when you tell her a problem she gives you lip service,for my self and many other patients we don't feel she cares about our concerns nor do we trust her with our confidential information about staff concerns. I heard her discuss a letter from a patient about a staff with Adrienne and Pat. I heard her talk to Linda and Jane in front of patients talking down,demeaning and degrading them, even if no one was there,you don't treat staff like that.Arlene plays favorites to Pat,Adrienne and Dale and her only asset is to be rude and unprofessional and she shouldn't be talking about patients loud or otherwise and certainly not with Dale,Pat, and Adrienne.

The only reason I am staying is because the doctors are so great and Linda and Jane are such experienced and professional receptionists and you can tell that they care about the patients.

Ive been a going to skylands since they opened ive seem DR DaMico and DR Purcell they have both helped me out of some serious medical issues my son and wife are also going to them although somwtimes the visit is breif i never felt rushed and have always been given a follow up call. the office staff has been most pleasent and Arline has helped my mother on some billing issues and has gone out of her way to help i kind of think you are treated as you treat people and beleive me ive seen some very rude people there After going there for over 15 years ide recommend them to all

I wholeheartedly agree with other reviews written. I've had positive experiences with the doctors, but like most of the patients I've spoken with in the waiting room as well as people I know who go to the practice, the office staff are incompetent, lazy, rude and unprofessional to say the least and an embarrassment to the doctors. Although the office is overstaffed, customer service is way below even mediocre. The office manager, Arlene, does very little, if any actual work and routinely promotes an atmosphere of covering up both her and her staff's inadequacies, mistakes and rude, unprofessional behavior. I was in the waiting room recently and a man looked at me after a staff at the window was rude and embarrassed another patient and said, "They're the worst!" Everyone I know feels the same way and has had the same experience with every visit. Arlene's way of dealing with issues (actually, not dealing with them) is to get loud and try to intimate patients, yet will never admit to mistakes or apologize for the unprofessional manner in which the staff treat patient. She actually needs training and doesn't even have a basic understanding of how to handle medical documentation, confidentiality or patient's rights. She clearly needs to be let go. Patients are made to feel as though services that should be provided are a burden. In most medical practices with 3 doctors 2 to 3 office staff adequately run the office and are pleasant to patients. Unfortunately, 4 - 5 staff in this office can't even manage to answer the telephones. I called recently and was cut-off and disconnected 4 times in a row. It's unfortunate that a practice with excellent doctors are being mislead by the manager and so much money is being wasted over-staffing a bunch of unpleasant, unmotivated clerical staff who are made to produce very little and don't provide either the doctors or patients with even satisfactory service. I've tolerated dealing with this circus and not wanted to waste the doctors' time complaining, so they could devote their time to practicing medicine and am yet another patient who is leaving the practice. It's absurd the the office manager is spending the doctors money by over-staffing, doesn't have any integrity with regard to the practice and so many patients are dissatisfied, won't deal with the situation and leave the practice. The only asset Arlene possesses is the ability to raise her voice when patients complain about the services and the way they're treated in an attempted to intimate people so they give up on the issue and the ability to mislead the doctors by not revealing all the patient complaints, unless she is confronted by a doctor and even then, somehow, convince them that everything is running smoothly, she the staff are worth all the money the practice is spending for an overstaffed office who are costing the doctors way too much money, the loss of patients and wasting their time.

She treats my parents and myself, she saved my father's life and am only grateful! When I see Dr. Shah, she always spends time with me.

I listen to her because she went to medical school and I did not. I do not decide my medical care on the internet or tv talk shows. If I have a question from doing research, she answers it. I have no regrets, and only see her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Damico for about 5+ years now. He is not an alarmist and so far, he has been right on target with any diagnosis and treatments.

As far as the staff that I keep reading so many negative comments, I don't bother with them much; just pay my co-pay and thats the extent of my contact with them..I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Dr. Shah, however, is another story. The several times I've had to see her (in case of urgent matters if Dr. Damico is out), I have not had a positive experience. Recently I went to her and she was a bit condescending and I left her office feeling like I just wasted my time and got no where. I am just not confident w/ her abilities and not happy w/ her demeanor. I do not recommend anyone going to her at all.

My family has had the same experiences with the staff named. Nasty, nosey and very unprofessional. They talk about everyone and everything. Jane and Linda are nice and helpful. Doctors are great.
The nurses are nice and caring.
But the office manager and the others need to get some manners FAST!

I have pulled my kids out of their due to the rude office staff, the office manager and one other stafff person named adrian and Arleen are the two rudest people that they could have working their and when you tell the doctors what is going on the do nothing about it pretty poor I would say we are the ones that pay their paychecks but yet the are the nastest two that you could talk to. When you call to make an appointment and if it something that you are unable to take due to time incovenence their answer is you have no choose take it or leave it. They are never nice to peole who try to help others out with appointments, I had my sitter take my kids to the doctors with a note and they gave her such a hard time. I have never have a problem with the nurses or the other 3 ladies, Linda, Jane or dayle these are the only 3 that will give you the time of day when you walk in the office, that is pretty said that the rest of the Receptionist do not have the same manners.

The staff rude & incompitent.Even though I give them my name and birth date everytime I call they still pull the file of a person with the same name as me but 20 years older. In addition to that they discussed that file with my sister inlaw, thinking they were discussing me, while she was there for her appointment. The doctors are great but they will continue to lose every patient until they get rid of the people behind the desk who have no people skills in any form.

The staff is completely and thoroughly unprofessional. After a minute on the phone with a nasty and obnoxious receptionist, I asked for her name, and she HUNG UP on me! I'd be very interested to know of a new doctor's office in the area, where phone calls are answered professionally. My blood pressure shoots up every time I have to call there. It's too bad because the doctors have all been good to me and my family(over 10 years), but I don't think I can take the stress of dealing with that office anymore. I will post this anonymously as I may need to see a Sklyands doctor between now and when I find a new office.

I have been a patient of Dr.Domico's for about 8 years. I have always been treated professionally by all. When ever I call for an appointment no matter how little notice I give them, they always accomidate me.

I have been a patient at this facility for the past ten years and have nothing negative to say about the doctors. The secretaries, however, are the worst I've ever met. They don't look at you when they speak to you, they yell at you for everything, and forget about trying to make an appointment-it's impossible! I finally spoke with my doctor about these issues, as they have been going on forever, and he was apologetic. He said he would speak with the staff. The following visit was even worse than the previous and I had had it. I decided to leave the office FOR GOOD. I now go to another office altogether and I am much happier.

I think drs damico & purcell are awesome doctors. I think their office staff is nothing but a bunch of old sea hags who have no purpose dealing with the public. (With the exception of the manager, dont know her name, and Dale who works at night only i think) Can you imagine calling to make an appointment and all they tell you is there is nothing. They dont ask what is wrong, they dont ask what about tomorrow. Picture it Can I make an appointment for this afternoon and there reply is no. thats it. they are rude and nasty and probably the reason everyone hates going there. i think some training is in order for these nasty ladies. they are under the assumption they are important. you have to pull answers out of them. they make you feel like you are wasting their time. well, guess what sea hags. if i were in charge all of you nasty worthless mean ladies would be fired.
