If I were you , I would throw away that gym membership and join Eversons. The amount of sweat and exercise you will get here can't be matched exercising at a simple gym. The instructors here are fun and they will motivate you and push you further then you have ever been pushed. I would recommend giving them a try, they give you a first free trial workout.

My Daughter was a student at this Dojo and what an excellent experience it was for her. She will be returning this Spring to continue her self-defense instruction. The personal relationship that she developed with Sensei Donna is one that has left a lasting impression on my child. In this day and age, it is essential to know self defense skills, have self discipline and respect towards others at all times and most of all, to have respect for one's self. Everson's teaches this and so much more to their students. Groups range in ages from 4 to adult and this Dojo has won many awards to prove their worth.

They also offer Halloween parties for the children, birthday parties where the Dojo is available for reservation and tournaments that are great and exciting to watch. The Dojo has seating in front of a large window that parents and visitors alike may occupy to watch instruction in action. It is strongly advised that parents and visitors stay quiet and civil during class so as not to distract the students. Unfortunately, most parents are the ones that seem to need the instruction in manners and respect themselves. It was the only aspect of witnessing the classes, in that, the parents acted and sounded as if they were at a very LOUD social hour and seemed to have no regard for the other children they had with them, as most were very young and screaming most of the time. This was bad for the children in class, because distraction or lack of attention calls for pushups or jumping jacks as a disciplinary penalty.

Rates at Everson's run in the $125.00 per month range and one Gei (uniform) is provided. They offer direct debit for payment and usually require a time committment from most students, but will make exceptions where necessary per the student and situation. They also offer necessary equipment per instruction needs for reasonable fees.

All in all, I am looking forward to my Daughter being a part of this Dojo again and she can't wait!

PROS: So many pros! Best one would have to be the family atmosphere!
CONS: Lack of respect by Parent's in attendance.
