Nice Place  4 Star Rating - Very good

Tumulty's is a nice restaurant in downtown New Brunswick. It is very dark inside and the benches are somewhat uncomfortable, so that's what I don't like about it. Other than that, the food and the people are great. I especially love how they serve a quarter of a lettuce head as their salad. I also used to love when they ran the trains around the track that they have near the ceiling when I was younger.

great food in a college town  4 Star Rating - Very good

If you are looking for a nice, decently priced meal in New Brunswick, Tumulty's is a great place. It's a nice little Irish pub. They are well known for serving their salads in a lettuce bowl, which is delicious! The staff are friendly and courteous and the bar is very nice. Never a long wait, a hidden gem in New Brunswick!

Excellent food in a nice atmosphere.  5 Star Rating - World class

Tumulty's is not a fancy place, but that is a good thing. Located on George St. in the middle of New Brunswick, there is plenty of nearby parking. It is a good place for a meal before seeing a show at one of the 3 major theaters nearby, or for just going out on a Friday night, away from the college crowd.

The food is excellent. Even now that I live 45 miles away, I still make the trip occasionally for some of there wonderful prime rib, or occasionally to try something else on the menu.

The same people have been running it for the past 12 years(since I have been going to it), and they know what they are doing. If you like the pub atmosphere, this is for you.

There is a full bar in the basement that is not always open, but it is nice place for a quiet drink, or occasionally to see a band.

PROS: Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff.
