If you know what you're getting Drive-Rite is a great choice. Previous reports of unanswered phones might be because of old personnel who are no longer involved with the school. I don't know, I can only say that whenever I've called, either Carol has answered immediately or I've gotten a competent answering service person. As a slightly older new driver, (23), Carol was a fantastic driving instructor. She doesn't baby you, but she also doesn't let you get overwhelmed. I went into this with a lot of fear and apprehension- I've been in several car accidents that left me very afraid of being behind the wheel. But Carol was warm, welcoming, and didn't really give me a chance to be afraid because she made sure I was too busy actually learning how to drive to overthink things. Yes, she definitely answers her phone frequently during lessons, but I'm sympathetic to the challenges of very small businesses. I can understand how that might bother other people, though, so be forewarned. She never stopped paying attention to how I was handling the car, though, so I didn't feel cheated of supervision or instruction. Overall, I'd heartily recommend this company to those who are looking for a laid-back experience with top quality instruction with staff that feel more like friends than well, staff. If you want something much more formal, precise and inflexible, or if you have limited time or a tight schedule, then you'll be better off elsewhere. For my needs, it was perfect.

Also, as for Carol turning up late for lessons- that's often due to the unspeediness of her student drivers, as I know my fear of going the full speed limit made her late for her next lesson at least once or twice. Again, if that's a big concern, go elsewhere and pay more. If your schedule, like mine, is flexible enough to handle it with no problems, then have fun. :)

Drive-Wrong would be a more suitable name, very unprofessional staff in particular Carol Beard instructor. No return calls, when we did contact her "incorrect phone number on sign" was her response...still waiting for a return call AGAIN. Would recommend PAY the difference and go to another school, not worth the aggravation. I won't be surprised if this school was investigated by the better business bureau!!!!

Carol Beard, the main driving instructor at the Drive-Rite School, is extremely unreliable and unprofessional. She showed up a whole hour late to my first lesson and about 10-15 minutes late for the my second two lessons. Also, on the day of my road test, she never showed up! It's VERY difficult to contact her her bc she NEVER answers her phone OR returns messages. Although she's an okay teacher, she would take many personal calls during the driving lesson, and she always seemed to act like she was doing me a favor, when in actuality I was doing her a favor by giving her business. Overall, her unprofessional business added a whole lot of unneeded stress to the whole process of getting my license. I DO NOT RECOMMENDED DRIVE-RITE AT ALL!!!

Dealing with Drive Rite was very disappointing to my daughter as well as me. The missed and late appointments were bad, but on the day of her road test, no one showed up or answered the phones. How disappointing would it be for a teen to look forward to getting her license and not have a driving school show up for the scheduled appointment. Thank God, we were able to reach a RELIABLE driving school and with a 5 minute notice, she was able to get a short lesson and take her test. And... she passed. No thanks to Drive Rite!

When I first contacted drive rite I had my suspicion because when all other school charge $40 or more per hour this one was very cheap. And not surprisingly their service was cheap as well. I enrolled and made a initial payment on Monday. Then I was told they will call me to allocate the slot. But the call did not come. I called back only to know that their office timing are from 6 PM to 8 PM. I called during their hours only to know that the concerned person is on vacation. One week passed and nothing happened. Frustrated I went to them on Tuesday nest week and demanded the refund. They said they can't give it and asked me to come the next day.

In other words folks please don't ever think of drive rite. Drive-Wrong should be the more appropriate name for them.
