If you are looking for reasonable, authentic Spanish food by ecahnge place - walk a few blocks north and you will need to look no further. They make the best plaintains by far that I've tasted and their pernil (shredded pork) is delicious - add the great rice and beans and you've got a great Spanish meal.

The only negative to this place can be the service - if you are looking "to go" you sometimes have a wait at the counter to be served. I've heard calling in is better but be prepared to speak Spanish on the phone to convey your order.

I went here on a cold rainy night when I was craving mom's rice and beans. The food here fit the bill and more: I ended up eating so much that my stomach hurt! Definitely try the pernil platter and the batidos (milk shakes). The food was perfectly seasoned and the beans made me want to cry for joy. There is a good mixed crowd and nice decor to boot.
