You be the judge and jury! I am a new boat owner. I took my new toy out and was returning to the slip when I suddenly hit something about 2 foot under the surface of the water. What was it? This Marina has a sunken danger that was in no way marked with signage, buoys or even a Clorox bottle tied to a rock with a string. The general manager claims that the sign marking the danger had blown down a week prior. Wow. Great. Even the little rascals managed to figure out how to make a sign.
The general manager feels it is "fair" that I pay to have my boat repaired. I am wondering how when this establishment had originally made the decision not to spend the money to remove the danger, but rather take on the responsibility of repairing the damage caused by the danger, now they are trying to shrug that responsibility. I'm thinking fair is that I seek damages for not only my property, my time, the six days I couldn't use my boat, and I am still just so distraught...
So what do you think? Good place ?

I have been boating since 1982 and most of my years have been spent at Clarks Landing Marina of Delran, N.J. I have been at all the other marinas over the years but have found that Delran has been the best for me. They have nice wide docks and very friendly boaters there. Jeff, who is the general manager there is very helpful with any problems or questions you may have about marina facilities or repairs of slip rentals. He is also very good at moving boats in and out of the well to the customer slips. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to boats. Mike, who is the lift man takes care of putting all the boats in the water or taking them out. He is very careful handling the lift and never has a problem no matter how big or small the boat is. He even lower me and my jetski in the water a few years ago. He makes sure I am seated firmly and leave the ski on the trailer to make sure it doesn't slide off as if there was no trailer. John is the chief mechanic . He too is extremely good at repairing boats. He is capable of taking an engine completely apart and replacing it. He is also great when it comes to maintenance. He can fix almost anything except the prices for repair. LOL. Kathy is the office manager and service writer in addition to assigning the slips for the boaters. They can handle boats up to 50ft in length. They also have indoor restrooms with showers. In addition, there is the "Castle Harbor" restaurant attached to the property. There you can get the best sandwiches at the best prices in town. The frozen custard is super delicious. The owner of the restaurant is Jimmy. He has been there many years and will continue to remain there. He has thousands of loyal customer since his food is alway good and fresh and priced inexpensively. Clarks is a great place to keep your boat.

I bought a boat from Ed Marshall. The oil pan leaked oil into the bilge and was not safe. This happened within a week of owning the boat. Clarks Landing agreed to "help". They charged me 1,500 to remove engine, replace pan and put the engine back. The mechanic broke one of the engine mount bolts and did not drill and tap it. So now one motor mount has only one bolt holding it down. The mechanic also hit a tube on the outlet of the heat exchanger causing it to be crushed and water would blow by the hose into the bilge. This had to be repaired by me. The mechanic also put a tie down on the heat exchanger overflow; he made it so tight that the fluids would not flow between the exchanger and the overflow mechanism. This cause the boat to over heat.

Sound fair to you? I have witnesses, receipts and you can see the boat yourself.

You be the judge? Nice people? Good to deal with? Good mechanical service?

This is a really nice outside bar area right on the marina. They serve breakfast and lunch. They winterize boats and sell boats. People can dock there boats and come up to the restaurant and eat. Really nice place, hidden in Delran.
