I had my wedding reception at Hotel Alcott this past weekend, the food was amazing, the wait staff was on top of things, hotel room wonderful! My problem with them was lack of communication on their part!!! They forgot to get the permit for the ceremony & then forgot to tell me I needed to send a check to the city! They told me the day I went down to finalize food I was supposed to see the baker first, not the 10 times I had talked to them before that! I felt like I was not important, my mom had to do everything the day of my wedding! They had told us that they would put out favors, center pieces and have the tables all set up I just needed to give them a seating chart. but they messed up! they did not have enough tables, to many chairs at some tables and not enough chairs at other tables! My husbands family who had the smallest table got shoved in the conner! I felt rushed by them all day and that they just wanted us to finish up so they could get the next wedding in!

The Alcott is one spectacular hotel. We had our wedding there and our guests are still complimenting our wedding from 2 months ago. I actually received 'thank you' notes about the whole affair. The food was spectacular and they accommodated my husband's lactose intolerance and my garlic allergy easily. Alan is there for the wedding day and he runs a tight ship. I had not one complaint the entire day from us or from a guest. The rooms are wonderful, however, the cheapest room really is very small. The Alcott is a cross between a B & B and a hotel - a homey yet well run establishment.

Hotel Alcott is a charming Victorian style small hotel walking distance from the beach in Cape May. My sister-in-law just had her wedding there and it was intimate and beautiful. The rooms are small but charming. Relaxing to sit on the rockers on the front porch of the hotel. Breakfast is included in the rates. I thought the rates were reasonable for a hotel of this class. I would highly recommend this hotel.
