We've been bringing our cats to Dr. Goldsmith for over 10 years. He is exceedingly thorough without going into expensive tests and procedures. He remembers our cats and their issues, whether by scrupulous note taking or just memory, follows through with phone calls to check on their condition, is very flexible with emergency appointments... I can't say enough about this clinic. I highly recommend him. He has continued to exceed our expectations.
I would recommend Dr. Goldsmith to anyone! My entire family has used him for years now. He is very thorough, and highly knowledgeable about many different animals. He personally has made numerous phone calls to follow up on our sick animals. Years ago, he even sent us a card expressing his condolences when my husband's dog passed. Very great Veterinarian!
I adopted a cat thru an animal group which uses Park Veterinary Clinic. When the cat became ill, the group suggested I have Dr. Goldsmith see him, and review the test results my own vet had done. Unfortunately, the cat was terminally ill, and had to be put down. The cat had problems that did not present themselves until he was over a year old, so please do not think that Dr. Goldsmith or the group had missed anything critical to begin with - my regular vet had given him a clean bill of health when I first adopted him. Dr. Goldsmith was extremely compassionate, very patient - I asked a ton of questions, hoping against the odds that he could find a miracle cure that my vet had missed, and very kind to both myself and the cat. We were in his office for over an hour, going over the diagnosis, and possible temporary treatments. When it became clear that the only humane choice was to put the cat down, Dr. Goldsmith was so caring and wonderful - he left me alone to say goodbye to my cat, then afterwards, let me know that I could stay with the cat for as long as I needed to. I would go back to Park Veterinary Clinic in the future - and considering that I have been using another vet for over a decade, I think that is a ringing endorsement.

I was handed my dog after he took an X-ray of her. She only weighted 10 lbs he sedated her to take a 20 sec. X-ray When we left the office she was completely unconscious, tongue hanging out of her mouth. He assured me that she would be fine. I left the office with her completely limp in my arms. We started to walk home. We were about two blocks away from the office when I heard her wince and her body contracted. I thought she was starting to wake up. I looked down at her & her eyes were open & I didn't feel her breathing anymore. SHE HAD DIED IN MY ARMS ONLY MINUTES AFTER LEAVING HIS OFFICE.

We've been going to Dr. Goldsmith since 1988 when we were living in the area. Since then we've moved to Morris County and still take the trek to Highland Park to take our pets to him. I'm sorry for the person who didn't have a good experience, but Dr. Goldsmith has saved our cats lives. My sister lost her cat and he was sympathetic and caring. She also received a condolence card from him. Dr. Goldsmith always calls to follow-up on how your pet is doing, even after routine vaccinations, and many times he calls from his home. My family doctor doesn't do that! Thankfully, the cat we brought to him in 1988 is alive and healthy, even after a bout of bone cancer six years ago. That's a true testament to his quality of care!

My whole family uses Park Veterinary Clinic. I have to drive a considerable distance to take my two dogs for an appointment but it is well worth it. Dr. Goldsmith calls to follow up on how the pet is doing and when I did have a dog die of old age, I received a condolence card. I trust Dr. Goldsmith with all my pets and have already recommended him to friends and co-workers.

We've been using the clinic's services for over five years. We had one emergency in mid-2008. We thought it was just a tooth problem when we called. Regardless, we got an appointment within an hour of the call. The Vet was rigorous in his examination of the cat, eliminated the possibility that it was a tooth problem, reached a conclusion it was a broken jaw and explained the rationale. The cat underwent surgery the following day and returned home in much better condition than was brought in.
My dog died because the vet did not correctly diagnose the problem, and when he finally did, it was too late. She was a young dog. We did not even receive a sympathy card. I had heard from other people this was not a very good place, I should have paid attention to htem.
