So disappointed in quality of merchandise - bought three rings - all three lost stones after a day - and we were being careful, taking off when we washed our hands. etc. No contact info on their website to even complain. Shady!!!

STAY AWAY!! Save your time and money. They lie and abuse manufacturers warranties. When I questioned why happened and why i was lied to and what to do next, I was asked to leave the store after the rep stated over and over again "I don't know". I wish I read these reviews before because they are spot on!! Spend your money at a store who is helpful, doesn't lie and stands behind their product...basically, not TERRY IVORY!!

I wish I had read about Terry Ivory before I went and spent ANY money there. Oh, they'll take your money alright but if something goes wrong you can forget about getting any money back or credit in the full amount. They will offer you a small discount on your next purchase or a credit for a third of what you already spent there. Imagine that, spend more money with us because you didn't spend enough on your last piece of junk!
Here's my story:
I was a customer of their store for many years and have spent a good amount of money there. The last time, I purchased a $60.00 ring, within 2 hours (my drive home from NJ) I noticed the stone fell out. I didn't bang it, as they insinuated. I am fifty years old, do they think I am a child playing in a park? The stone simply fell out, the prongs were not damaged, the stone was not damaged. It just was not seated properly in the setting and unfortunately I did not notice. It was a piece of junk from the beginning. I searched all over my car and found the stone. I called them and they told me they would repair it. After several emails, phone calls, and months they told me they could not repair it. I went to pick up the ring to find out they could not repair it because they lost the stone. I refused to take the ring and asked for them to call me back. Of coarse they did not and no acknowledgment that they lost the stone. After more phone calls and emails and months I went back to pick up what was left of the ring and that's when they advised me that when a customer does not pick up their jewlery, they get rid of the jewlery. I suspect that they got a couple of bucks for the scrap silver. So $60.00 later and no ring to show for it and NO MONEY BACK. Oh yes, they offered me $20.00 credit. ARE THEY KIDDING!! SPEND MORE MONEY THERE! That was my last time I ever went near that store and my goodbye gift to them. They don't care about their loyal customers who have kept them in business all those years. Now they bank on vacationers who will purchase jewlery and never return to complain.

CONS: BUYER BEWARE! Notice the amount of people who are complaining with the same issues. They have the worst customer service, and business practices. Their cheap russian help and management are rude.
I suggest anyone with a problem with them go to Better Business and file a complaint about them. If enough people do maybe they will regret how they treat people.

I purchased there a pair of pear earring and it was a piece of junk. When I came back for a refund, a girl who worked there just said that NO. After that I have been there a few times and I thought that every last time was a lot worse than previous. Last summer I was shocked how I saw customers were treated like bags of money, and these young girls who worked there just kept following me all the time. There was a woman who asked me where I was from and when I said I was from Korea, she said, "OK", and walked away. I thought it was really rude.
Horrible store, AVOID

i have shopped their loyally for so many summers i lost count, but the last few years it's gone down hill. the prices are way over the top. last few yrs it's all foreign girls who can't understand english. when you ask them to get help, they tell you the mgr is busy. when i pushed salesperson to find someone who could tell me if material for rumer bracelet was leather or rubber- the sunburned girl behind the counter on the other side of the store assured me it was leather. the 3rd person i s/w confirmed my instinct that it was in fact rubber. when i told them my leather rumer bracelet that i bought at start of summer ($40) was wearing and looking frayed, the response was, well it's not going to last forever. what type of response is that? the customer service is non existent. it seems like it's all about the hard sell now.

Unlike the others, I had a WONDERFUL visit to the Terry Ivory on the Ocean City Boardwalk. The Employee who helped my was very well informed and extremely helpful with my purchase. She wanted to make sure that the chain that I was buying was going to look great with the starfish pendant so she took me out onto the boardwalk with the mirror so that we could see the match in "true sunlight" I loved that and LOVE the store!

Hello!

I first found out about this store about a year ago when I was in OC, NJ with my family. Honestly, I was very surprised when I saw the prices. Everything is just way too expensive for a store on a boardwalk. I could understand if quality of jewelry would be great, but everything is half broken there. However, I bought earrings for my daughter and her friend. A couple of days later my daughter said that her ears hurt and I saw that they were infected. The only one reason it could happen was because of earring I bought for her at this store. Later I found out that my daughter's friend had a problem too. When I called the store a very young lady said that it is a final sale, no refunds.

All right, I understand that it is a final sale but why on earth the store would sell infected jewelry to frustrate its customers?

I will never go to this store again because I care about my daughter's and my own health.

My mother in law raved about the beautiful jewerly in this shop. She bought me a Chamilia charm bracelet from the Ocean City, NJ shop when she was there. Her birthday is coming up and I decided to see if I could order her a bracelet from Terry Ivory online. When I googled Terry Ivory I found these bad reviews and was a bit hesitant to order but then decided to take my chances.
Well the bracelet and charm came in a timely fashion. I was so happy to see that it arrived so soon after I ordered it. When I opened the package I realized I had ordered the wrong size bracelet. It was much too small. I looked at the receipt and I didn't see any instructions for returns or exchanges. I called the number for the Ocean City shop and a woman named Sarah answered. She was very polite and asked how she could help me. I told her my problem and she took down my information and said someone would be in touch with me in 48 - 72 hours. I was very surprised when the phone rang about 5 minutes later and it was Sarah with instructions for me to exchange the bracelet for a larger size. I followed her instructions and about 4 days later the larger bracelet arrived in the mail.
I was very happy with my purchase. The bracelet and charm are both beautiful and I know my mother in law is going to love it. I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service from Terry Ivory and I'm very glad I disregarded those negative reviews.

My friend and I spent a good sum of money at this store on Christmas gifts for our daughters. My daughter wore her silver necklace ONCE and it broke when she took it off. I took the necklace back and asked to replace it with a similar but stronger necklace. They said they do not do that. They said they would have to send it to their off-site jeweler who would decide whether it broke because it was weak (their fault) or because it was misused (my fault) and THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $10 FOR THEM TO SEND IT TO THEIR JEWELER! It was only a $20 necklace.

This not about money but about standing by their products (which they do not); respecting their long-time customers (I buy something there practically every summer and so do my many summer guests). I told them that if this is their policy then I would not be buying anything there again and the salesperson didn't seem to care. When I asked to see the manager, I was told she/he was in a meeting (on New year's Eve day).

For less than $20, they lost hundreds of dollars per summer in sales from my friends and me, and I will be telling everyone I know about this experience.

Cons: FAIL: Customer Service 101

.

I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. I shopped at this store since it was open and gave them so much business UNTIL the last few years. Their treatment of customers has become horrendous with no backup of their products. At a recent sale I was not given a receipt, told that "we don't give sale receipts". When I insisted on one, I was given one after it had been marked all over to make sure I didn't even attempt to return anything. What right do they have to not give a receipt for MY money? I understand the sale is "final", but customers are entitled to receipts. On one instant, Terry Ivory did not want to honor gift certificates given to me, even though they had no expiration date. In the end, she did, but it was a struggle with letters, etc. Being a business person myself, I cannot understand why she does not want to cater to customer service and treat the people who spend their hard-earned money on the products she offers with respect. Find what this store offers somewhere else.

Pros: Some beautiful jewelery

Cons: Overpriced, rude customer service

Everything at the store is overpriced, everyone was rude to me and tried to ignore, I tried to ask for help a girl who worked there but she simply didnt speak English. I finally bought a bracelet Holy Yashi for my daughter and it was broke after she wore it once, the quality of jewelry and service is very poor and I will never come back.

This "store" used to offer a LIFETIME guarantee on Chamilia jewelry, something that is not unheard of by any stretch of the imagination. I bought that brand for this reason. Terry Ivory sells its own beads that fit Chamilia bracelets. I had no problems with my Chamilia bracelet using my Chamilia charms, but the two beads that were Terry Ivory brand destroyed my bracelet by stretching the fibers of the metal as I tried removing it. The store was unable to fix it, claiming the beads "went on in the first place," so it was my fault they would not come off. (Mind you, again, the Chamilia beads were FINE! Only their own beads broke my bracelet.) When I asked for a replacement bracelet, the sale associate was going to, then said, "Oh no, this was over six months ago." I was continually told to lower my voice while simply voicing my issue, and then the manager got involved. She claimed people were staring (that's the idea when I'm getting screwed!), and she talked to me like I was five, telling me "Honey, NOTHING in life comes with a lifetime guarantee," which is funny since a lot of products I buy have just that (Tupperware, anyone? Or what about Lia Sophia jewelry?). She said PERHAPS I bought my bracelet when the guarantee was for one year, but either way, it is now a six month guarantee so I was basically out of luck. How can a legit company CHANGE its guarantee policy? Obviously they are not legit. She then told me she could place my number on the list and someone would get back to me. I said I don't buy that, and she ADMITTED, "No one at this company is going to do anything to replace your bracelet. It is unheard of." I wasn't leaving without something, and I told them that, so I was finally able to get 10% off of a new bracelet that was $21 when I got it and now sells for $35. Whoopdeedoo. I know it was probably a bad move to buy something else from them, but even so, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have never had such problems with any store I've ever done business with.

Cons: Worst customer service I've experienced EVER

.

I recently purchased an $85.00 bracelet that was defective and broke during the first time I wore it. I returned it to the store then spent the next 3 to 4 weeks trying to get a representative to handle the issue. Finally I went back to the store in person, only to find that they had glued over the damage, and tried to give it back to me saying that it looked good. I refused to take it...it was ruined! After requesting that I speak directly with Terry of Terry Ivory (she refused to call me back), I received a call from a young woman from the Ocean City office saying that they would not refund my money, but they took the glue off and that I could pick it up at the Stone Harbor store. From how the employees handled the situation, you can see that they are instructed to make a buck...not provide customer service. I have been a customer of this store for 13 years, but will never go back and I urge you to spend your money elsewhere.
