Romano's Macaroni Grill is situated off of the Rt. 17 N highway, and has plenty of parking if you think about dining here. It is always crowded, and inside, the noise level is usually at a 8 out of 10.
The decor is welcoming, the lights appropriately dim, and the tables well-spaced so that you don't knock into other patrons as you are escorted to your table.
On every table is butcher paper so that the kids (or my husband!) can doodle while they wait for the food to be delivered. Crayons are also invited.
Don't be fooled by the bottled water on your table--it isn't free. Bread and an olive oil dip are customarily delivered to you as a free appetizer.
The Macaroni Grill has specials and Italian staples like ravioli and lasagna. However, their food is INCREDIBLY salty, and I am a person who enjoys salt on my food. I have to drink several glasses of water to combat the salty flavor, especially in their meat sauces.
Desserts are standard fare and the coffee is tasty.
If the Macaroni Grill somehow managed to regulate its salt use, I would visit it again. However, I have dined in two of its franchise locations and been disappointed to feel like I paid a premium fee for a salt lick.
PROS: Location, size of building, specials.
CONS: SALTY FOOD
