The blatant incompetence of Vanity Room??s "stylists" ?? if that's what they're called these days ?? is disgraceful. I came home on a Saturday after getting my hair hi-lighted to find that it was platinum on the crown of my head and bright orange through to the ends! I looked like high-school peroxide/kool-aid experiment. Why didn??t I notice until I got home? Because the unskilled and unstable ??stylist? who colored my hair didn??t even blow out a section to check her work. I blew out my bangs, saw blonde, and left with my head wet. When I got home after apartment hunting and let my hair down from its bun, well that??s when I saw the nightmare! I immediately called the salon and left a message. I also sent two emails detailing how atrocious my hair looked. The owner, Terri Hebert, did contact me right away on Sunday. She fit me in on Monday with another stylist to fix my hair. I decided to trust her decision to be placed with a different stylist (who, by the way, could not believe how horrific my hair looked). He merely did the best he could do; which to be frank, was not that good, because my hair was still orange ?? not as bright? more muddy ?? and I still looked like I stepped out of Super Cuts.
After my experience with the 2nd stylist, I decided that I had to demand my refund and go to another salon. Terri sent me an email telling me it??s not her responsibility to refund my money and that I wasted the valuable time of her stylists.
I could not believe she had the audacity to tell me I wasted their time! It was my time, not the stylist??s time, which was wasted. In fact, the first stylist is the reason time was wasted in the first place. I spent 5 hours of my valuable time with the one stylist on Monday and 3 hours with the woman who destroyed my hair on Saturday!

In the service industry, the client's time is more valuable than the time of any stylist. Being the owner of an upscale salon, I thought Terri Hebert would've known that.

"Other" salons obviously have more educated stylists with color correction than her salon does. It is Terri??s responsibility to attend to her customers. There was no way I was going to waste more of my time with the unskilled talent at the Vanity Room.
Also, Terri, ignorantly claimed I was "happy". First of all, she was not there. Secondly, I blew out my bangs (which were blonde) so I didn't see the orange ends. Lastly, I left numerous voicemails complaining of my dissatisfaction along with sending plenty of emails detailing my unhappiness over the course of a week...
The manager of the salon, Suzanne, initially told me she would refund my money. When the transaction never posted to my account, I called and emailed; no response. I was finally able to get in touch. She basically told me she had to consult first with Terri. So she lied to me about my refund. Suzanne has an extreme deficit of professionalism. She should not have told me that she would refund my money that day. She should have let me know she had to consult with the owner first.
I emailed Terri Hebert the pictures of my hair after her two stylists worked on it. She didn??t respond. If she thinks they did good work, then she needs to own a Super Cuts.
