I am impressed with the aftercare at Holmdel Preschool. There's always an activity like Pictionary Play Doh or a teacher reading a story.
5Thank you so much Holmdel Preschool for the remarkable educational experience that you have provided my children with. The community is quite fortunate to have a facility such as yours as you truly are a brand unto yourself defining early childhood education.
5My children have made great progress since starting them at Holmdel Preschool, they also have a lot of fun.
5I am consistently being impressed by Holmdel Preschool. The level of the lessons being taught are very high.
5There's nowhere else I'd rather take my kids then over here. The teachers are absolutely great!
5The staff over there is really great! I love how they are so caring with the kids and work hard to teach them things they need in life. I highly recommend going here.

I appreciate that the teachers are always willing to discuss my child's day and progress with me. Engaging and educational school!
5Teachers are caring, intelligent, and great with the kids. My son has learned so much from the hands on projects they give to the kids!

The education your child will receive is good and the surroundings are nice and clean, but there are a lot of hidden fees. Not only are you paying a high tuition; you are requested to bring in a lot of supplies throughout the year, you spend $4 a day on hot lunch, and between $50-$200 on monthly activiities. My big disappointment is how they separate the children...God forbid the parent forgets to bring in a supply for a special occasion (like the Thanksgiving soup), your child is left on the side lines watching the other kids enjoy the activity and unable to participate because a busy parent forgot to bring in their share. I took my daughter out in June, and she was not allowed to participate in the dance practice for graduation. They made her sit aside and watch the other children. Eventhough she wasn't going to be there for the ceremony, I felt it was wrong to make her feel separated. My daughter (who was 4 at the time) was very upset and the school director didn't care. The director of the school is very nice on first impression, but that's all smoke and mirrors. Beware!

The teachers and staff and director are respectful and well educated. It is a friendly environment to send your little ones to. We love it here!

Holmdel Preschool has provided a nurturing, fun, and educational experience for my two year old. We are so thankful for the teachers and staff who care for our son each day!
5All three of my children have gone here over the last six years. Each of them have entered Kindergarten very advanced in reading especially! We love Holmdel Preschool and know they have had a very positive impact!
5In my opinion, as a parent I can say the level of care at this school just isn't there. Beware of the teacher rotation, and the level of disorganization in the infant room. Management leaves a lot to be desired. The petty requests every week including paper towels and clorox wipes just got to be obnoxious. On multiple occasions i wanted to discuss different issues with the director and several times i walked over to her office and she wasn't in. When i withdrew my daughter from this school after 4 months, i never even received a follow up phone call. This is the level of management your dealing with. I actually feel sorry for these teacher's who have to work for this school. I recommend that you carefully do your home work before sending your child to this daycare. The internet is a wonderful resource. Good luck!

The school is not a babysitting daycare. It is a fun learning facility. My husband and I will definitely recommend the school anyone. We will definitely send our youngest child there when the time comes

I am extremely satisfied with my decision to send my 3 kids to Holmdel Preschool. The teachers are wonderful and caring, the curriculum is exciting and interesting, and the academic quality of the instruction is fantastic
5They give the kids a wide variety of stimulating activities and experiences in a clean, safe, environment. The teachers are excellent- caring, intelligent, and great with the kids!

Our son's academic skills are way beyond what we would have expected at a preschool level, and we love watching how much he enjoys learning!

My daughter goes to this school and it is very clean, nice, the staff is wonderful and the education that my daughter gets is fantastic....BUT it is very expensive and I am starting to think that it isn't worth it anymore. A LOT of hidden fees, they are always asking for money for EVERYTHING the kids do. I thought if you paid an expensive tuition that that would be enough, but it's not. We were told when we signed up that there would be small dues for activities, but these small dues are costing us over a $100 a month, there is no fridge or microwave so you either have to have your kid eat a sandwhich from home or pay for hot lunch which is $4 a day (more than highschool kids' lunch). I feel that the parents are being taken advantage of.

Having 3 kids I have run the gammit of checking out preschools and infant care programs. I have in fact tried 2 but believe it or not third time was the charm. I cannot tell you how happy I am with the progress my children have made here. I really have not seen other programs that offer what they do hear. It is truly a first rate program with a wonderful staff that is caring and knowledgeable. The administration is wonderful helping me to resolve any and every situation that has come up from financial to educational to extra curricular. The staff is so sweet and the hygiene here is great

The school is fantastic. Children get to learn while still having fun. The administration is approachable and helpful. School has individual programs to really get everyone get going. Great job, keep it up!!!
5I am not sure what school Lisa H. visited because Holmdel Pre-School is the cleanest school environment I had ever visited. As for the additional costs, yes there are some. However, the cost is very resonable compared to other local pre-schools, and even with the purchase of supplies the tuition is still very competive.
What I am most impressed with is the curriculum that includes math, science, social studies and literacy. In literacy, stories are discussed in a manner that seems to be aligned with the third grade NJ ASK (New Jersey's No Child Left Behind standardized assessment). All of this is especially impressive because my daughter is not even 2 years old yet! I feel very strongly that the level of education my daughter is receiving is nothing short of phenomenal. Every time I enter the classroom the whole group of cute little toddlers are completely engaged in an activity,

The previous review from Sandy G. is very true. My daughter has been going there for almost a year. The staff there is pretty good, especially Ms. Toni and Ms. Jamie. But the center is always, I mean everyweek, asking the parents to contribute supplies. Besides the supplies requested at the beginning of the school year. Just recently they're asking everyone to bring 4 boxes of tissue. And watch out for additional fees throughout the year that's not mentioned during your first interview with the director, Debbie. They really should just ask an additional $20 or so from everyone and leave the parents alone with this pitty requests.

I have 3 children who attend Holmdel Preschool. I have never been more satisfied with a business than my experience here. Being a teacher myself I find I am often very critical when it comes to the care and education of my children. I have looked at several places before enrolling them here and I could not have been happier. I feel they really value the children and respect the program the administration has provided for them. They have lotsof special programming each month, for which they charge a reasonable rate and the director is always able to help out the finances if need be. It also has great grounds and a wonderful summer camp. My 3 yr old learned tos wim there this summer with the help of the lifeguard. They do a couple of special events for the families and what a blast! So different from what I have found and seen elesewhere. the place is immaculate and the materials are abundant. I love the large play yard too.

My children attend Holmdel Preschool and I really do like it. It is definitely very clean and the teachers are great, but beware of hidden fees. After you agree to send your children there, you will receive a list of supplies that will "help make your child's stay more comfortable".
For Pre-K, that meant spending over $130 on various supplies such as 2 boxes of crayons, 2 boxes of markers, a ream of paper, a box of Sharpie markers, a roll of paper towels, 3 marble notebooks, 2 packages of chunky pencils, a loose leaf binder and the list goes on and on. You would think that a daycare should at least supply crayons, markers, reams of paper and their own paper towels. They should just add $20 to the monthly tuition and let them do their own shopping for supplies.
Also beware the Literacy fee not to mention the $4 hot lunches if you choose that option. Most daycares only charge about $2 for the hot lunch option. For infants, can someone tell me why I have to supply a ream of paper, 3 rolls of paper towels, a bouncy seat and a container of clorox wipes??
While I believe my children are safe and cared for (or else I would have moved them immediately), I feel that at least the list of supplies and any other fees they plan to charge you should have been presented before hand. Oh and by the way, expect to pay a fee if you plan to use the charge card. This is definitley not spelled out when they offer the credit card option in the paperwork.

The newowners came in and made such a difference her-- the floors are clean and shiny, the classes are nice and small and the teachers warm and caring. The materials are so nice and very unusual and the kids always are so eager to go in. I love the way they are greeted each day and they are always sad to leave. They have great parent programs and really have good communication. The open door policy makes you feel so welcome at all times.

I have to totally disagree with the other review. First off I don't feel you could give a review of a school just by walking through and having a "feeling".
My daughter has attended the school for 2 years and it has been such a great experience. They are very hands on and do lots of crafts, spend a lot of time exploring outside and keep the kids busy from the time they step in. The school is also very clean. The owners of the school are also great at keeping the parents involved and keeping us informed as to what is happenng.
I can't tell you how much I really love this school......
I highly recommend it.

I toured Holmdel Pre School Center and was just not very happy with the environs. From the outside, it looks very clean and safe, with locked gates and doors. However, inside the building, its quite a different story. The rooms are very crowded with furniture and toys. The floors were filthy and the halls had cracks in the flooring! I didn't get a good feeling about this place at all. Would not recommend.
