Centre Ridge Garden Ctr

Just moved in the area and was looking for a local garden center.
Centre-Rigde has everything that I was looking for.
Staff was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
I will DEFINITIVELY return for future purchases.
Special thanks to Tony who was very patient and explained to me on how to take care of my plants.

i just went there for a very standard item for the fall, lawn fertilizer, and they did not have any. how could they not carry it in october????

Purchased so many plants/ flowers/trees from them over the years, however 3 very expensive tree's flat out died and needed to be replaced within a month. They didn't believe me, and blamed not watering them as the reason which was not the case at all. They were adamant about it. They only gave a partial! discount on purchasing again! Very unhappy with this service and will take my future business elsewhere, (very unlike GroRite who stands behind each of their products with a guarantee and is way cheaper). From a very knowledgeable plant/flower person.

This is one of my favorite places, I have never had a bad experience here. They have quality plants, and a few more unusual varieties than most places. I did lose a shrub that I purchased there, and they were more than happy to give me a credit toward a new one when I showed my receipt. The staff is always friendly and helpful, I don't know what those people that gave negative reviews are talking about. I have a feeling they are just cranky people to begin with, on top of not knowing how to care for plants!

My wife bought a plant there (she actually purchased many for the front of our house) - they did not tell her one of them was tropical and had to be brought inside during the winter. It died, I told them nobody told her and I should get a replacement and they asked who she dealt with there. I said I did not know but I have the receipt. They said "she doesn't even know who she talked to and you want a new plant?" Huh? I have a receipt - what difference does it make who she talked to? She sure as heck wasn't talking to someone at the Diner down the block. After fighting me on this for 10 minutes, giving in to graciously offering half the money they took from my wife (all I wanted was a replacement - she spent hundreds of dollars on other things in that same purchase and they could care less) his response finally was I will give you your money but never come back here again. Is he kidding me? They sell a plant which they don't tell will die unless you dig it up and take it inside your house in the winter and my wife is the bad guy? I ate the money and didn't even go back there . If they need my money so bad they could have it. This place may be fine if nothing goes wrong with what you buy, but if you read these reviews, still buy from them and then have a problem with your purchase then you are out of luck and have nobody to blame but yourself.

For all of you people who "don't understand" how I (and others) can be saying these things I am doing nothing but relaying the facts. If you can't understand how I can be telling everyone EXACTLY what happened then I don't know what to say. Yes some people love this place but many others don't and I assure you these people are not making things up or are too hard too please. Again, read all the reviews and if you want to take the chance go for it....but please don't bash the people who are relaying their own personal experience which you know nothing at all about.

I buy my plants from Centre Ridge every season and they are always extremely healthy and beautiful! I bought 2 birch trees 3 years ago and they are gorgeous trees, getting compliments from everyone. Sure you can get plants from Home Depot cheaper but the odds of those plants being healthy are very low (unless you happen to get them the first day they arrive at the store) nothing is worse than taking the time to dig and plant something that dies in a few days. I've NEVER had that happen with a plant from Centre Ridge.
The staff has always been extremely helpful and if they don't know an answer, they always call someone over that does. I have never run into a rude person there and I have been there on their busiest days so I'm not sure what the person who posted the "rude workers" remark is like, some people just are never happy so I'm going to chalk it up to that.

I was suprised to see the negative reviews for this business. The price is a bit higher. I have been dealing with the business for 6 years. When I explained a problem I was told to bring my receipt and the product would be replaced. I have found the staff very helpful.

The negative reviews must be from people who do not garden or do not know how to care for plants and flowers properly. Centre Ridge costs a bit more, but their products are healthy and their choices are plentiful. There are laborers who work there and would not be expected to assist customers. The customer service staff wear green shirts and are extremely helpful to the customers. Tony is the manager and he is wonderful - he has the answers to all your questions and will assist in any way possible. This is a good business and should be visited by all who enjoy a beautiful garden!

Maybe you don't know how to take care of the plants/trees that you buy. Don't blame the garden center. I can't fathom that ALL the people at the center are rude. I've bought plenty from this garden center and it seems fine. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean it's a terrible place to buy plants.

The first review is correct. The employee's are rude and have no knowledge. Go anywhere else!! I went there Christmas time. Needless to say I ended up going else where after I could find no one to help me. Once I did track someone down they are sooo rude.

This is by far the best garden center in the area! I have no idea what the last reviewer is talking about. They have the healthiest plants and varieties you can't find at other garden centers! Worth the drive if you're not from the area.

I purchased quit a few items from this business. They were dead within a few weeks. I tried to discuss with the owner. He was rude and could careless. Go anywhere else.
