Let's see..... At first the place was great until you try and end your membership. The owner takes a hissy fit if you quit and consistently harrasses you with phone calls. Staff is too chatty and they really don't have an interest in training their members properly. Their attitude is bascially you show up, you gossip, you try and work out and, needless to say, you really don't get trained how to work out properly, unless you're a gossip...then you're trained in how to gossip. In fact, there is so much chatting, you can't focus on your workout. I suggest find a place and trainers that are serious about training you to get back into shape!

A few years ago I decided it was time to take control of my weight and not have it control me. I joined weight watchers and within a few weeks Curves. As people say, you can't lose weight and keep it off with just diet alone. Curves afforded me the opportunity to meet a great group of women. Now I am able to inspire other women to do the same. Thank you Curves for giving me my curves back!

I also have a positive review of Curves. I've been a member for 3 plus years and it's a workout I can stick with. I love that it is all women and I love how motivating it is. It's a clean, warm place to be and the workout is circuit training on a variety of machines plus stretches. No spa services, no childcare, but I think there are other assets, which make Curves different.
Curves participates in lots of charity work (collecting donations for food, clothing, toys, etc.) and motivational activities (raffles, earning Curves dollars for working out regularly or answering trivia questions about health) which is nice. I love getting their newsletters with recipes and workout tips or seeing what new exercises are up on their bulletin boards. They really emphasize getting healthy and I've actually learned a lot about nutrition and health there, too.
The owner Michelle genuinely cares about everyone's progress and knows every member's name. The staff is helpful and friendly and overall, it's a great place to work out if you want a workout at your own pace with people who are there to get in shape.
I think the costs are reasonable, especially if you join during a promotion. I'm sure we all could drop the same amount on a pair of shoes without thinking about it and our health really is more important. My blood pressure's down and I'm down a size since I joined. Overall, it's a place that makes you feel welcome no matter what your size or age and motivates you to get healthy.

This is a nice place to work out. All women, so you don't have to worry about who's looking at you. It's a warm place to be. I think the overall age is middle aged women who are just looking to tone up. It's a 30 minute program. You use around 10 machines all in a circle. I like the idea that you can make your own scedule. No childcare is provided and I think that's a plus since this is down time. The cost is between $39 and $49 a month with a $75 fee which I'm still trying to find out what that's for. The staff is pretty much floating around. I thinj they could be more involved but their definetly friendly.
