Hello Georgous Salon & Day Spa

Kristin has been doing my hair for many years. She did a FABULOUS job for my wedding day. She always knows what's in style and what best suits her customers. She is also my personal counselor (lol)! She's like my best kept secret- I almost don't want to share her... but I have to give her props!!! Thanks Kristin! :)

During the warm months, my hair grows fast and I get it cut about every three weeks. I went to my salon, only to find out that they decided to close on Sunday for the Summer. I called my wife and she suggested Hello Gorgeous. At first, I scoffed due to the name, but was determined to get my hair cut. I arrived at the Deptford location, and found several young women standing in front of the salon, when finally around 9:20 am, a pick up showed up and the door was unlocked. I asked a passing girl what time they opened and she said, "9 am, we're open now". I went in and was greeted and asked if I had an appointment. I did not and was asked to write my name down and have a seat, and they would see if they could accommodate me. I was soon called back to a chair and got my hair cut. The stylist was good, but never asked me about my side burns, eye brows, etc. She asked how the cut was and after I said it was fine, she took the drape off, and escorted me to the register. There another girl said, "that will be $20". WOW!! No apology for the lateness of opening, and no "Thank You" and a wallet spanking??? Good Bye Gorgeous,...I'll take my just as good $8 cut.

I'm very happy with the stylist that I see. Nina is wonderful...she truly listens to my concerns about my hair color and cut and when I leave, I'm always very happy with the results. However, the manager is a tad abrasive. I tried to use two gift cards that I purchased online at a discounted rate. Apparently, you can't use more than one of these cards at a time. When I handed him both of them, he slapped one of them back on the counter and very rudely told me that I couldn't use more than one. From then on, I've avoided him in the salon...I don't want to deal with a salon manager on a power trip when I'm spending good money to go there.

I send my daughter to hello georgous on Friday the 16 of may for just to style her hair, curl it for the dance sending her with 40.00 bucks thinking it would only cost 28.00 i been going there for years for massages and highlights on my own hair it cost me around the same my daughter just paid for just a wash and curl job when the lady that took her had to lone my daughter money and pay alot of money for her own daughter it was outrageous. I could not beleive they charge my daughter for 81.00 that is so expensive I will never go here again I could of probley went elsewheres that I did in the past and paid so much lesser and a better duo I am very upset with there prices and it sadness me that they can charge somebody that amount of money , people dont have a lot of money now and all I wanted was my daughter to look great for her dance and I am a divorce mother and dont want to be the parent to say I cant take you to an hair dresser when all the other friends are going . I work very hard for my money. and it just saddness me that you take advanage of people out there.

My sister went to Hello Gorgeous to get her eyebrows waxed. She had been a faithful customer for a long time. The wax that the aesthetican applied to her brows was way too hot resulting in severe burns (to a point where her skin burned and bubbled). The best they could offer was another free eyebrow wax. Their customer service is terrible. They should have been giving her the red carpet treatment for what they did. She will never go back there, nor will any of my family members.

My husband purchased me a 90 minute massage. The therapist started 15 minutes late (she was late) then ended 15 minutes early They charged me for 90 minutes, only gave me 75, and never apologized or discussed this with me.
When I confronted them they gave me 20 bucks off ( I let her keep her tip) .
But had I not said anything to them, they would have still charged us the 132 dollars.
I recommend not going, or at least setting a timer.

I went to washington twp for a haircut and it was totally messed up.I called and complained and they said that the manager would fix it for me no problem.They gave me to a manager named Julie.How this woman is manager I have no idea.She did even worse of a cut and was rude about it.I ended up going somewhere else to have it fixed.I was only looking for a trim but by the time it was done I was out almost 5 inches.This place was horrible.

I was a faithful customer of this Hello Georgous, until my waxer quit and they gave me a new girl. I asked if she was experienced, and they told me she was. This girl was terrible. The wax took 1 1/2 hours when it should take 1/2 an hour. She used a ton of wax to do the smallest strips, thus matting any other hair in it, which resulted in much pulling scissors and going over the same spot more times than any competent waxer would. Even with all that, she missed a ton of spots that never would have happened with someone doing this for more than a week. I complained to the manager and he said he wasn't comfortable talking about it. I told him that I wanted my money back and he said they don't give cash refunds. I said fine a gift certificate would be fine (I would have used it at a different location). He said I would have to talk to another woman who wasn't there and he refused to discuss any possible remedies with me. I asked if I should just go across the street to the bank and dispute the charge. He said, "Sweetheart, you can do whatever you want." So I did, and a good thing too, because the woman never called me and I was left with bruises and burns that didn't go away for days. But any other Hello Georgous is usually a great experience, just not this one.

I was a faithful customer at another salon when my husband bought me a gift certificate to Hello Gorgeous. I was hesitant to try a new salon, but I am so glad! I've been going there for about 2 years and ALWAYS get compliments on how beautiful my hair looks. Also, they give a mean massage & facial!

PROS: Hair coloring, hair cuts, massage, facials, pedicures
CONS: I have no complaints!

My husband bought me a gift certificate to Hello Gorgeous for Christmas. They offer many services, hair, nails, massage, facials. I used the gift certificate for a spa pedicure and a manicure. I was very pleased with the service that I received. The service was great, I liked the ambiance of the salon, and my nails looked really good. I highly recommend Hello Gorgeous and I'm looking forward to trying some of the other services that they offer.
