This YMCA combines the features of the other two local YMCA's located in Burlington and Mt. Laurel. In addition to the regular gym equipment they have 5 basketball courts, 2 olympic sized swimming pools, and dozens of fitness classes, most free of charge.

The best days to go are mid week and the weekends. It is very crowded on Monday's and Tuesday's but normally you only have to wait 5 minutes at most to get to the equipment you need.

PROS: lots of equipment and fitness classes
CONS: can get crowded

I like this YMCA since it offers a large variety of programs, has many amenities, and is strategically situated. It really is nice to have a community health club with all sorts of workout features available to you for a very reasonable monthly fee. But there are also reasons why I hate this YMCA. Although the fees are reasonable and low, and the staff are very friendly (somewhat motivated, however), the place is not totally clean. After swimming here for one hour, you feel like your skin is going to peel off. They have too much chlorine here! And going to the workout area and dance studio upstairs provokes my allergies, as the place is so dusty and the air is stale. (Honestly, is it too much to open up a window?) However, though, the prices are very low. You save a ton of money here as compared to Bally's or the Virtua Club a few miles away. YMCA specializes in community programs; while there are times to workout independently, the main focus is work as a community. They have daycare, kids' ballet, swimming lessons, and so much more! I think it is the prices that make them special. I can pay for just one membership and then pay about $5 per non-member entering with the registered member. For me, a person who does not frequent the health club on a day without classes, this saves a ton of cash. Good job, YMCA!
