Ratings_icons Pennsville Aquatic/pet Ctr is great !

Anita M.

I've never had to buy a pet from them, but we do a lot of business with them for our pond, and i can tell you that they are the most kindest helpful people. They bend over backwards for my dad who is elderly and cannot come out anymore but he needs help with his outdoor pond. Paul and Vicki are wonderful, and their staff is great too. Keep up the good work as a nice family oriented old fashioned business.

Ratings_icons Pennsville Aquatic/pet Ctr (WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW)

Well, for those of you who don't know what goes on behind closed doors, lets just say ignorance is bliss!!! No, they do not vet check any of the kittens that are dropped off to them!! Or if they are running low they have a call list of people whose cats had kittens and are trying to get rid of the offspring. Not to mention the staff is not as knowledgeable as you think.. Selling tanks for animals (to new owners) that the animal will grow out of in a few months or what is required for the long term care and continuous health of the animals.. Costing the owner more money then needed... Some of the dogs are from Puppy Mills, however I will say some are not, there's your 50/50.. Tanks and cages are not maintained (cleaned) as they should be, just covered so people can't see.. The animals that come in from people looking to get rid of their pets (because of one reason or another) do not get quarantined for any period of time (so as to not spread any diseases), but are placed on the floor for resale. 95% of the time with other animals that could be perfectly healthy!!! So, lets read up on the animals or companions that we want or have.. This way you know what to looking for!!!!!!!

Ratings_icons Puppy Mills

My experience as a consumer having purchased a puppy from this establishment is sound. A follow-up with the puppy I purchased revealed the puppy DID NOT originate from a puppy mill. I had followed up because I was suspicious but was pleased to find otherwise. I also purchased a couple of "dropped off" kittens a few years back. The kittens were later checked out by my own vet and found to be OK.

This establishment has advised me very well over the years I have been doing business with them. I strongly recommend them.

I have had nothing but great experiences with the Pennsville Aquatic/Pet Center. They offer a variety of pets and supplies along with clean and fresh atmosphere and friendly service. I've purchased a dog and a cat over the past few years and have had no problems. It's nice to be able to get specialty products for your pet in your own neighborhood!

Ratings_icons IS A GREAT FAMILY RUN PET STORE

Just because other pet stores get there puppies from puppy mills does not mean every store does. By law the store is required to have papers identifying where the animals come from and the vet records. They do NOT buy from a puppy mill but have honest hard working individual breeders in which they have in trusted for the past 9 years. They do have kittens being dropped of without shot records because they work with the township with the overpopulation of kitten and give the shots to them and adopt them out. Before posting an add make sure you get ALL your facts straight. This is an honest full line pet store with a friendly staff

Actually, the percentage of pet store puppies that come from puppy mills is 99%. 25 years ago (before I knew any better) I worked for a "breeder" that was actually a small puppy mill. He also drove to puppy mills in Lancaster PA to buy puppies, then would falsify records to say they were purebred. He had puppies flown in from mills in the midwest. I would pick them up at the airport. Now I've been in the veterinary business for 25 years. Has anyone ever asked this store where they get their puppies? I suggest someone do so. If you don't get a straight answer or they can't provide you with proof, then it would be safe to assume the puppies were obtained at a puppy mill. The mill may even have the store bamboozled into thinking they are a reputable breeder. I highly recommend adopting a pet or researching reputable breeders before buying.

I can honestly say that I do not think that the puppies that come from Pennsville Aquatics come from Puppy Mills. Just because statistics show that 90% of all puppies sold in a pet store come from puppy mills does not mean that there arent any good honest pet stores out there. There are more good pet stores out there then you think.

I seriously doubt any of the pups in this store (or any pet store) come from reputable breeders. Google puppy mills and see where pet store puppies come from.

It's all about greed!!

Ratings_icons only in it for the money

Stay away from this pet store. I have very good reason to believe that they use puppy brokers, not local breeders, to stock the store with dogs, because I met a woman who is a puppy broker that was on her way to them to drop off puppies. And I was in the store one day when someone dropped off a box of kittens that they had found and the store put them up for sale, with no medical history.

Ratings_icons awesome shopping experience

what a great business in a small city. Anything you want for your pet is available. It's clean and doesn't smell like the usual pet shop. The live animals are all clean and obviously well cared for. The staff is so friendly and well trained. You feel like a member of the family after a few trips.

Hope they'll be around for a long time to come.

Ratings_icons For All Your Pets Needs

This is a good place to shop with and for your pet. They have a nice selection of pets, a lot from local breeders. If you are in need of supplies you can usually find what you are looking for here and at a good price. The staff is friendly and helpful. They'll even trim your puppy's nails if requested. This isn't a big store so you and the animals don't get lost. It's a nice place to shop for the family pet.
