I have shopped around for the perfect price and package deal for my new mountain bike and Knapps was definitely not for me. Most of the bikes have to be ordered so you really can't see much in person or better yet try them out. The shop is really small and mainly used for putting bikes together so there are parts all over. I would look else where at first.

This is an old fashioned cyclery shop. They obviously specialize in bicycles.

We purchased my 6 year olds new bicycle there a few months ago. I felt a bit rushed and pushed and ignored but ultimately once someone finally attended to us, they tried to be helpful. Their selection doesn't seem extensive, at least in the children's area (only 2 bikes to choose from).

I like that they will service the bicycle you buy for free for the life of the bike.

Given how long kids ride bikes before moving on to the next size, the price was a bit high (over $100) but it's a nice bike and has served us well.

PROS: good follow up service
CONS: high price
