Cafe Matisse is consistently amazing

by Ana S. | insider Insider | Rank: 28,800

I've been to this place many times. Always treated like a royalty. The food is consistently amazing. If the weather is pleasant - ask to be seated on the patio. Great experience!

THE MOST DIVINE PLACE EVER!

by Elva C.

Duane and Elva were married here on January 25, 2009 and its was by far the most unbelievable day of our lives. Larry and staff are scholars at what they do....starting with the decor to the food and most importantly the service exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend CAFE MATISSE! Bravo!!!! I would like to thank everyone there for making our day so special. John, what a voice your the best, thank you for those beautiful songs. I will remember them for the rest of our lives. Larry, what can I say, everything you did made our day happen. Thank you a million!! Love you guys!

Perfection

by Jacqueline D.

The combination of ingredients used to prepare the amazing cuisine served at Cafe Matisse, is not only worth every penny spent, it is surely to be one of the most unforgettable dining experiences you've ever had. With a friendly and wildly talented staff and charmingly eclectic decor, this gem is one of the top restaurants, if not the top, in NJ and quite possibly NYC, too!

a different atmosphere

by Laine O. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 16

This place is a little bit different, it's BYOB and is a little pricy but worth it. It's wonderful in the Spring & Summer you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Unusual little cafe

by Dana K. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 968

This place is a tiny store front, but the interior and the food makes it feel like you are hiding out in a fairy tale. It is expensive, but the gourmet chefs (especially the pastry chef) make it worth every penny.

Food that melts in your mouth and you'll keep going back for more!!!

by Bonnie C.

Larry & Peter have done an outstanding job with this little tiny restaurant. The decor is out of this world and the food is fabulous. Their menus changes with the seasons and there is always something new to try when eating there. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is again fabulous in the spring-fall. They are alittle on the pricey side $65 for 3 course meal but it is well worth the money. 2 thumbs up!!!
