THE GOOD:
? customer assistance is very good and knowledgeable about music, they locate (not point to) the stuff you are looking for
? they do (if they can) order CD??s, although they have a tendency to place it on the racks if you don??t remind them
? For a medium size record store, their selections of the more obscure titles are good.
? Prices are about 10-15% other retail CD shops in area
THE BAD:
? Jack of all trades, professor of none; for an independent CD store their selection of titles are nothing that you wouldn??t locate more easily in a New York store?? no rarities or imports
? Used CD section is a dumping ground; lame selection
? Easier to order certain rare titles on the internet
THE UGLY:
? I have live at the Jersey Shore for almost forty years, and I can safely say that Jack has to be the most smug, arrogant, self serving store owner, whose attitude is reflected in how he runs his shop. He is a big fish in a small pond and He pretty much does what he wants, which isn??t always good for the customer.
FOR A FISTFULL OF DALLORS:
If you live in the area or dropping through Red Bank on Route 35, worth a browse; but I wouldn??t go out of my way if I was on the Highway to check it out.

Jacks music store has been the worst in customer service in a long time, but today was topped. If you have ever been in Jacks you would know that they have a music shop in the rear of the building. I was prepared to throw down about a grand on some new pedals and a guitar. I simply asked the sales person a question in regards to one of his instruments and he may as well have said "look your an idiot, why would you ask such a stupid question" not only did the guy treat me like crap, after I mentioned that he should be nicer to his customers he continued to go on about how much he knew in regards to musical instruments. In any case, don't buy anything there, they are expensive and unfriendly. I can't wait to see the doors close on that store for good!

Do you ever miss that small-town, personal feel that record stores used to have? Well check out Jack's. It carries an eclectic portion of music, covering every genre. They also have instruments and sheet music. The staff is helpful and nice. Best of all, you might even run into a regular, like Bruce Springsteen or Bon Jovi!

Jack's Music has been a local record shop in the Red Bank area for many years. They have a great selection of newer and vintage classics. They also have a nice assortment of sheet music which is getting harder to find these days. It's a great place for music fanatics because they even try to get you the hard to find stuff.

The town of Red Bank, NJ - has the dubious honor of being dubbed "hip City", due to its character. Jack's is one of the reasons why.
Back before the internet ,and the ability to track down just about any kind of music, or even spoken word albums, there was Jack's... And it wasn't just special ordering. Obscure music/albums are standard, along with everyhting else you would expect to find.
Jack's Music shop also sells guitars, band instruments, sheet music, and just about anything a musician could want.
Jack's also helped play a role in the revitalization of Red Bank...
Those from NJ, and surrounding areas, know that the town's boom is due in no small part to the efforts of Kevin Smith - the Writer/director/actor - also known as Silent Bob...
A few of the scenes from Chasing Amy were filmed here. So Kevin Smith Groupies have to make it a stop on their tour.

PROS: a wide variety of obscure music/recording in stock
CONS:
