OMG what an awful restaurant...soggy caesar salad, pasta sauce that tasted like it was poured from a can...i was worried about my zuppa de pesce and whether or not I would be sick...it was the worst I have ever tasted...my sons chicken was thin and greasy and my husbands veal was inedible...frightening with an awful taste...we like all kinds of places...from modest to the best of the best and this place should be CLOSED! the owners must be writing these reviews stating how good it is...You would need to be a complete moron to think this food was edible...DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! Get a good slice of pizza instead. BTW you can bring your own wine to get drunk instead of eat!!!

The waiter lurched over the table as he served over cooked vegetables and poorly prepared salmon. I was not surprised that we were the only customers in the place. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Billy Joel sang of a special place and we've got ours. We only go out occasionally for dinner, so we almost always choose Buongiorno's. Have for over 15 years. Never a disappointment and often over the top GREAT! It's what a neighborhood place should be. John is like family. He makes us feel special every time. We love sharing our travel stories with him and talking about his partner, Ed, who now is in France. I love the Snapper Buongiorno. Mmmm. Crispy outside, sweet inside. But for an experience, try the prosciutto and fresh mozzarella. Or the Veal Giambotta. This makes me hungry!! I think I'll make reservations. Johhhn...

Buongiorno's is a Dumont favorite! A year ago, when looking for a venue for our wedding on short notice, Buongiorno's was the obvious choice. Not only was the meal affordable, but they were able to accommodate over 60 people, allowed a 3-piece jazz band in the corner and allowed us to bring in our own wine and champagne for the occasion. The staff and particularly the owner out-did themselves in serving beautifully plated and tasty food (the seafood crepe is amazing!). They only had three weeks notice before the afternoon event, but the production was beautiful! I could not have imagined a more charming and romantic setting for the occasion. It was a day to remember and Buongiorno's made it happen! Now that my husband and I live in Florida, we make it a point to visit when we're back in Jersey visiting family!

My family loves it! A lovely, European-style restaurant, with classy tablesettings, soft music, charming and helpful wait staff, and terrific food. This restaurant has become our absolute favorite ?? the menu offers a large selection; the staff is willing to accommodate changes and special requests, and there are always interesting specials. Favorite dishes include the steak pizzaiola, stuffed salmon, and, for appetizers, the fabulous calamari and amazing seafood crepe. They also make great cappuccino. You are always warmly welcomed; we bring our own wine and appropriate glasses are provided immediately; the wine uncorked for us and an ice bucket provided for white wine. We have always found the atmosphere relaxing and have never been rushed. The staff goes out of their way to ensure a pleasant and delicious dining experience. We highly recommend a visit!

one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I was there with 5 other people and there were a total of 12 people in the whole restaurant on a sat nite (we were half of that). The food was OK but the waiter was out of his mind. After telling us the specials, he came back to let us know that they were out of a few items. Were they that crowded that he did not know ahead of time?? He said one of the specials that we ordered had asparagus so when the dish came there were string beans on the side. He was annoyed that I asked where the asparagus was only to be told on top of my fish. OK, you would think no biggie. Apparently I was wrong, when we asked for water, he brought two and we asked again for the remaining members of the party which really aggravated him ( very bizarre). The check came and we tipped him 20% thinking we were helping the guy out and we thought all was good. Then someone at our table decided to order Tartufo after the billed was paid. Not sure what the big deal was but the waiter started to curse our table out (literally) and threw a menu at us. We were all quite confused so we thought his rude behaviour should not be rewarded so when he asked us to pay we told him to take it out of his tip. Boy did that set him off. You would think that after a nice dinner and a 20% tip he would have been gracious but instead it became the nightmare dinner experience. We paid for the Tartufo anyway and were cursed at the entire way out. I would never go back nor would I recommend it. Go to Andiamo's or Dimora instead, much nicer service and more appreciative people!!!

This was a great place. I got great service from the moment I walked in. My food came quickly and the wait staff was extremely nice. I decided to go with a chicken parm there and it was one of the best I had.
