Columbus Central Veterinary

Over the last 26 yrs. I've seen many changes to CCVH. All for the better, I might add. I've always taken my babies (dogs) there for a broken bone, regular check-ups, illness, medications etc. and have never had a complaint or problem. Then my fiancee and I adopted a retired military working dog in 2007, and now find myself fostering for a local animal rescue alliance. So...between my three dogs and the one extra foster pooch, I can sometimes spend lots of time at CCVH. Everyone there, from the lowest on the totem pole (who they are, I'm not sure, because they all help you no matter what you need) to the most senior Veterinarian, I've always encountered smiles, professionalism, compassion, honesty, patience & during those awful times ~ sympathy, because they ALL CARE. I couldn't possibly recommend better medical caregivers than those at Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital.

Our dog was taken to this hospital after she was hit by a car. Although her injuries were too severe and she had to be put to sleep I can't thank the doctor enough for all of his efforts to try and save her. He wouldn't give up until the very end and he made her as comforatable as he possibly could. we will be forever grateful for his kindness and his compassion for an animal whom he never knew.

I am the friend the other reviewer spoke of and she was right on the money! I have no reservations baout saying that they saved my cat's life. I was freaking and they calmed me down and gave me the whole story when i asked about her condition. Dr. Ahmed is so compassionate and actually took the time to come to the phone when i called. He didn't just give the info to a secretary. I can't say enough about this place! I even took them a pizza party at the follow up visit because I was so happy.

My best friend Michelle came home from work one day and found her cat in a pool of blood on the bathroom floor. She quick wrapped her in a towel and took her down the street to Columbus Veterinary hosp. The doctor here was fabulous because at first they didn't expect the cat -Disney - to make it. He gave Disney recieved excellent care- Disney needed IVs, medicine, blood, etc. The communication here was also appreciated. This hospital has tehs that stay over night and when Michelle called to check the status of her cat- all her concerns were addressed and it made her rest much easier. So a big Thank You to the best Veterniary hospitla around!!!

We took our dog there for an emergency visit as he was having seizures and our vet was not available. They also said he herniated a disc in his back from the seizures and had some other disease. They had him on so much medication the poor thing was vomitting blood and passing blood in his stool. I would not recommend them at all. When we took him to another vet on a family member's recommendation they said he did not have a herniated disc and did not have whatever the disease was that he had and his only problem was the siezures.

This is where we take my cat. They are a very experienced and friendly staff. I have never had to wait long for my cat to be seen. There is a tv in the lobby. They also have kennels and emergency services.

I can't give it 5 stars only because we've never had any serious issues to depend on them for their help.
