I took my daughter tonight to the Fairy Ball. I had high expectations because a few weeks prior all the staff told me how magical is it and so forth. It was NOTHING magical. Basically I felt like I got robbed of my money, it cost me $30 for her and $5 for me. I was told that there would be a company there doing hair and makeup and glitter tattoos and face painting and everything wonderful. What they didn't say was that there was only ONE person for each service, so I literally waited in line for over and hour and a half, mind you the event was only 2 hours long. My daughter had no time to play, it was sad. By the time she got her turn to get her face painted a girl working at the mesume said that she had to get something small on her hand!! We paid $35 and waited in line over an hour and a half and couldn't even get what we wanted!!! I was also told there would be pizza. Omg, the pizza wasn't warm at all, it was all picked through and thrown in the boxes. It didn't even look like pizza. It was honestly discusting and Seasons Pizza should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed. On top of that, there was no where they set aside to eat. I ate on the floor with my daughter next to the bathrooms, GROSS!! And the drinks wern't even in the same room as the food. I had to ask an employee where drinks were. Oh, they were In a totally different section of the mesume!! It was honestly the WORST experience and I feel robbed of my money. I don't even think complaining is worth the free visit they will probably offer me. Save your money and bring your children to a parade, trust me!!! (Did the horse carriage ride sound attractive? It might have lasted 5 minutes, tops. It walks in a little circle.) Every part of this night was miserable. STAY HOME!

The Discovery Museum is an awesome place for kids. I have 3 kids under the age of 5. We are members and we love it! My kids spend hours exploring, playing and learning. The staff is really knowledgable and friendly and my kids and family have had really great experiences. Bring the kids, make the time!

It cost us $40.45 to enter the museum. We had high expectations after watching the on-line video. I would say 80% of the exhibits were non-workable or 1/2 working to capacity. Not all the materials for some of the exhibits were available. There was no information on 'animal/fish/snake' life exhibits, which were 1 or 2 exhibits in all. The video showed more than what was available.. Our grandsons made the most of it but were disappointed. I would not recommed going there, especially w/the price of gas these days and the cost of the entrance fee with little satisfaction .

I?ve been to this kid friendly museum about three times. It?s very entertaining for children ages two to six years old. It?s not very big and the exhibits are very good. Everything is hands on for the children and they have lots of fun because everything is interactive. There is a gigantic bubble maker, a tv studio, a mini diner and much more. This would be a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon with your kids and you can bring your own lunch. There are tables set up and a few vending machines. You can also host a birthday party there. You can bring your own food, drinks and cake. My only compliant would be the bathrooms. They were dirty, smelly and really need to be monitored better. I did not want to change my baby?s diaper in there. Otherwise, I would recommend visiting.

PROS: promotes fun family time
CONS: dirty bathrooms

Great place for kids to work their minds with so much imaginative play. The kids fill up with excitement when I mention going there. My daughter loves the 50's diner and the Vet's office exhibits which are scaled down to kiddie-size. I love watching them acting out the different roles for each scenario.

PROS: Great imaginative Fun
CONS: Kids never want to leave

The last time I went to The Garden State Discovery Museum, it was really, really crowded! There were children running everywhere. However, the Garden State Discovery Museum is a fun place for kids to play. There is a Action News Area where the children can see themselves on tv...a new Lite Bright area where they can put cylindrical pieces of plastic into a large area to make pictures and an art area to color. There is also a stage area where kids can put on a show and play the piano. All and all it is a fun place for the kids.

This hands on childrens museum is wonderful. My kids have never had as much fun as they did at the resent birthday party we were invited to here. The place is huge and offer tons of activites to keeps kids busy including arts and crafts to a live animal show. There was too much to do in one day, I cant wait to take them back very soon.
