Liked to double-bill. Liked to send you to the emergency room unnecessarily. Frightened the child unnecessarily. Long waits. Hard to get in when you needed them. Did not respond promptly to late night sick calls. Rarely got to see the same physician, so they barely knew who you were. Bottom line: There are other much better pediatric associations. Sorry I stayed with them as long as I did.

Dr Leifer is first rate. She has been my daughter's peditrician for years, and is excellent with her. She takes the time to talk to my daughter, and ask her questions. She is wonderful and it is excellent that my daughter has someone she feels comfortable with.

I could not be happier there. They are so professional, friendly, and provide my son with the best care. I primarily see Dr. Amy Leifer, who my son adores. She takes the time to answer all of my questions, and always explains what will be happening at each visit (i.e. milestones they are looking for, vaccinations, etc.). I've never had a more thorough and friendly physician - too bad she doesn't see adults! The doctors that I have seen for various sick visits have also been wonderful. Great practice!

Stay away from this Dr. and practice. I went in for a well visit for my son. He threw up in waiting room. Dr. gave me a hard time when questioned whether he should still receive vaccines. She took all of 5 min to check him out. Told me her daughter had the Pentacel vaccine, a kid died over the summer , and I would have to make him come bacl and put him through this again. Unfortunately I listened to her and my sick kid got the vaccine. He convulsed on the way home. When I called the Dr. from the road she told me not to go to the ER but to monitor him at home and give him tylenol. He has since received an MRI which showed brain inflamation. Stay away from this one please.

I went to Valley Pediatrics as a child and now bring my children there! You could not ask for a better group of doctors. I was unfortunate to have had a child with severe asthma, who ended up in the hospital on several occasions. The doctors were wonderful and very sensitive to what we were going through. They also have walk in sick hours in their HoHoKus office the first hour of each weekday. Can't be beat!

My daughter went here for many years, we mostly used the Hohokus office. The only problem is , you get a different doctor every time. There was las lots of turnovers, but they were basically all very nice and seems to know what they were doing. The offices are clean and the staff are very accomodating. I never had a problem but thank God my daughter never had any serious issues.

My daughter, 16, has been a patient for many years, and we both love the doctors and staff. We usually go to the Mahwah office, and the doctors are truly caring, kind, and don't rush. They explain everything to you, and make you feel very safe in their hands. The Mahwah office has a cozy, old fashioned feel to it, but the Hohokus office (which we've been too, as well) was much more crowded and busy. Despite, that, she received excellent care there, also. I would highly recommend this practice.

Mahwah office is terrific. it's a much calmer atmosphere than the HoHoKus office, where the noise is sometimes unbearable. both from the children in the waiting area but also from the admin staff behind the counter...

i like most of the dr. at Valley peds - especially Dr. Nicpon!

if you haven't already tried this practice - you should!

Excellent in every aspect! Easy to make an appointment and when calling, if call is not immediately answered a message tells you the number of callers ahead of you and the expected wait time (usually answered before time is up!) The waiting room is divided for sick and healthy children. Large number of examination rooms which means less wait time!
Staff is efficient, helpful and caring and let's add patient (a bonus when dealing with kids!!) The Doctors are thorough and don't rush thru appointments. They take time to listen to both parent and child and after examination explain diagnosis, treatment and answer any and all questions.
Valley Pediatrics is definitely the best and lets a parent feel secure in knowing their child is in great hands!

I live in Mahwah, so the Mahwah office is the preferred setting. Their other office (in Ho Ho Kus) is too crowded and busy. Not a good place to trade contagious diseases. I have liked the doctors I have met (multi doctor practice)especially Dr. Kim. The Mahwah office offers more of a comfortable country family style atmosphere. The doctors are knowledgeable and nurse is nice to my child. The receptionist is a little less enthused about her job.

PROS: mahwah location/good professional staff
CONS: receptionist
