more like enterprise rent THE car...

This review is meant for the New Brunswick Rt 27/Somerset St. location. They did pick me up as advertised. My issue is more that the auto repair shop that was fixing my car called them to pick me up, and I sat there listening as he explained over the phone that the insurance company would be paying for my rental car for the duration of the repairs and would pay up to $30/day. They waited until they got me to their location to reveal that they didn't HAVE any cars in that price range. They could have told me when they picked me up. I'd rather have paid $10 for a cab to a different Enterprise location than paid the $12/day difference for six days... --------
Especially idiotic was the woman who picked me up. As we headed in to the office she said "What kind of car were you looking to rent today?" I replied "I'm not sure... what are my options?" She guestured out the window.... to the car she picked me up in!!!!! WHY ASK ME if you only have ONE CAR??? ----------
I understand it was a busy time and all their cars were out, I just don't appreciate not being told straight up. Also, they washed the car before sending me off in it, but neglected to notice 1) it had less than 1/8 tank of gas - I know that means I only have to return it with 1/8 tank, BUT STILL, and 2) the low tire pressure light was on. You can't make sure your ONE CAR is road-ready? Especially when YOU drove over to pick me up IN IT?? What the heck?? ------------
Not the worst customer service experience I've ever had, but you can bet if I'm ever in this situation again, I'm calling the rental place myself to ask specifically about cars in the right price range. ---------------
Also the girl who answered the phone when the repair place called, said they'd come pick me up, then left for lunch or something without telling anyone, so I waited over an hour to be picked up. Nice one.
Pros: They pick you up, and are friendly
Cons: no selection at all - ONE CAR, and took forever to pick me up
