don't waste your time like we did. Went in for lunch. Didn't know they had a lunch Buffett ( we were just going to order from the menu). We were seated and told food is not ready. Ok. So we walked up and got our own menu to look at. After 5 minutes no one aske if we wanted to order update us on the status of the Buffett or anything. After 15 minutes, yet officially open for over an hour, no buffett was out yet. We waited another 10 minutes before leaving. Totally rude, disrespectful staff. Spend your hard earned money where people appreciate it.

I am appalled by the lack of even the hint of common courtesy from the wait staff. No one provided me and my wife with a menu until I asked three different individuals. Then, after waiting 20 minutes, no one came to even offer to take our order. Then, as we left disgusted, none of the wait staff even made eye contact with us, let alone apologize or ask why we were leaving. This total lack of customer service is unacceptable anywhere, let alone a place that'll end up costing you $25-30 per person.

Notice how I never mentioned a manager? That's because there ISN'T one! Anyone who recommends this place is a total moron.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the vibe of this place. To start the shrimp appetizer (can't remember the name), pan-seared Tilapia and the Palak Chaat were all fabulous- but honestly everyone in our group could have eaten their own serving of the Palak Chaat it was so outstanding. For entrees my favorites were the grilled Salmon, the Lamb Roganosh, the Tandoori Chicken and I loved my califlour dish too.
Service was fast, unobtrusive, polite - everything you could want. The decor was pleasing, too. The warm colors were soothing on a cold evening. . . and I think I remember from business school that restaurants use reds and oranges to stimulate the appetite - that totally worked on me.

A place I will return to time and time again- Coriander!!

As a general rule, when you compare Indian restaurants to home-cooked Indian meals, they almost always fall short. This restaurant is the exception. Still not as good as home-made, but very close. The mango lassi is very refreshing. The Dahi Ka Shorba is the best soup on the menu. They make very good poori. My only disappointment is that I did not see my favorite dish, Pav Bhaji on the menu. I have eaten at all the local Indian restaurants in the area, and this one is the best...not the cheapest, but the best. The candy-coated fennel seeds at the front are a nice touch.

Great way to try something new. We stopped here to try some Indian food. Thinking it would be too spicy, we were pleasantly surprised by the flavorful tastes. We would highly recommend this place. Lunch was very reasonable.

We are not big eaters so food quantity was OK. We tried their buffet to get a taste of everything. I felt they served left-over food from the party-catering in their weekend buffets. I would rate the overall quality of Food as B-. Most of the curries were with a lot of cream indicating food made long in advance. Very bland to cater to American taste. Food was also a little bit too oily. Chef must be holding back his/her culinary expertise.

Cons: Not so great food.

I've been here a couple times here for their brunch--it is really excellent. It's a great way to "ease oneself" into Indian cuisine because it is lighter on the spice yet uncompromising in flavor. The service is excellent and the ambiance is really intimate--it would be a great place for dinner. Although the dinner menu is a little pricey, the brunch is a great deal and a good opportunity to try a little of everything. Recommended!

Coriander has a very tastefully done contemporary interior and the kitchen delivered 1st-rate, powerfully-flavored Indian food. I had a fanastic and spicy minced chicken kabab, and my friend ordered the crab cake appetizer, which was more delicately spiced with a hint of coconut. The lamb roganjosh was excellent...very flavorful and the meat was so tender. The vegetable Biryani was the best I have had in the US.

I was really surprised to see the review by Shayam101... For the 2 of us the portions were very generous and food Very flavorful... I did not see any AMERICAN spices in our food as mentioned by shayam101. I wonder if he did go to the right restaurant.

I love this place. The menu is extensive. They have all my favorite Indian breads. The atmosphere is very nice. It's casual and tasteful. The service has always been excellent.

Yes, it is different all right. First, make sure you eat at home or somewhere before you come to Coriander for dinner because portions are so small even though you will probably pay 12.95 or more. Second, it is Indian food with American spices. I wonder can you still call that Indian food. It reminded me of Indian food they use to serve in my dormitory in Seattle. I just go next door to "Elena Wu" chinese bistro, Great Food.

Pros: Waiters will explain in great detail about eating Indian food..

Cons: Bad taste-less food anything-but-Indian, Dark and dingy. High priced.

Coriander has delicious Indian/bistro food. They have a lunch buffet on most weekdays and its around $8. There are only a few things to pick from, maybe 6 or 7 main dishes and a few sides, but it's great if you're in the mood for picking or want to try new foods without having to get it as the main dish. The service is great too. I would highly recommend it!

I found this place by accident on business and stopped for lunch. I was delighted by the food - the buffet was set up so nicely, not in those typical stainless steel containers - but in beautiful pots! There was a nice variety of dishes. The mango Lassi was the perfect blend of tart and sweet.

We were looking for something new and different ... hard to come by in south jersey. But after trying Coriander, I think we have a new favorite place! We were immediately seated, and after ordering, it didn't take long for our food to arrive. And it was amazing! The tandoori chicken was tender and flavorful. My husband had the lamb vindaloo which was awesome, and it had a spicy kick. So tasty. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little different. And try the garlic naan (if you don't mind bad breath)
