Party City

They have a full selection of themed-party favors and napkins, tablecloths, etc. They also discount greeting cards so while you are there, stoke up. There are a lot of registers so the wait time is insignificant usually. They also carry a full line of Halloween costumes, pumpkins and other decoritive items. Give yourself plenty of browsing time. I like the store and find them to be fairly reasonable. Check local flyers for coupons such as $3 off $10 or $5 off $25.

Party City in Paramus, NJ is the place to go for all your costuming needs especially when Halloween rolls around. Every year at that time, the droves of people that try to get into the store is outrageous. Because it's located right on Route 17, the traffic in and out of the place is a nightmare, and you can usually tell by the backup of cars when you are close to the store.

Luckily the store is big to accomodtae everyone that comes inside. Rows and rows of costumes are available on display and for people to order. Like I stated earlier, Halloween seems to be the biggest time of the season for Party City. because they are popular around this time, you can imagine the mess in all the aisles. The staff is helpful especially during this busy period. I;m surprised they can keep a level head throughout the whole ordeal.

The rest of the year isn't as crazy as Halloween though I'm sure it gets busy again during Christmas and other festive holidays. They have lots to offer from tablecloths, candy, napkins, themed accessories, and lots of other goodies to make any party come even more alive. You can even get supplies such as glue, tape and what not just in case you run out.

It's a great one-stop shopping experience if you are specifically buying for any themed occasion.

Party City is the Halloween destination for what appears to be most of Bergen County, because when you try to enter their parking lot off of Route 17 near this holiday, you will have a bit of a wait on the shoulder. Party City is absolutely packed to the gills with families stocking up on fake blood, costumes-in-bags, and magic wands.

During the rest of the year, Party City is much more calm and easier to navigate. They have baskets for your convenience as you shop seasonal decor (for summer, paper lanterns and tiki torches, for example), party supplies, and novelties. Hosting a backyard luau? Party City has the merchandise you need to throw a decorated bash.

In June, I visited Party City to find (I swear) a George Washington costume and/or tri-corner hat for my son to wear during an oral report. The costume aisles were cluttered with boxes of stock for this area that needed to be shelved. There were dozens of these boxes and it was hard to move around. Nevertheless, I found an employee who was really helpful and informed me that the George Washington costume was sold out. I'm not sure what was more odd--the fact that I found a live human being among the box maze, or that other people purchased George Washington costumes.

Regardless, Party City is one of my annual destinations for Halloween and a place I visit when I want oddities like that mentioned above. They have a friendly staff and a good selection of merchandise for sale.

This Party City always has a great selection. They are usually not crowded and there is also usually a coupon available on the internet to use. They also do balloons while you wait.
