In off season it's great for me and my standard poodle Cocoa, three years now. Affordable, close to beach and boardwalk, that's all we need.

I stayed here with 7 friends in 2004. It was a great time, the hotel was perfect for what we needed. Close to the beach, right on the boardwalk. And a great price. The rooms are nothing special. There is no pool, and the parking lot is tight. I recommend this place if you know you will not be spending much time in your room.

My family stayed at the Ocean Front in the summer of 2007. We were looking for a reasonably affordable place near the beach and boardwalk that was clean and family friendly. The Ocean Front fit the bill perfectly. It's located toward the south end of the boardwalk, so it's away from most of the noise and crowds, but it's still close enough to walk to any of the attractions and restaurants. Best of all, it is right on the beach; there's an entrance to the beach right off the parking lot, so within minutes you can be on the sand.

The rooms are clean, though not luxurious. There are 3 types of rooms: regular, ocean view, and ocean front. The ocean front are on the end of the building toward the shore and have a window that faces the water. They also have a few more amenities (larger TV, coffee maker, microwave) and are more expensive. The ocean view are the next rooms down, so their windows have an angled view of the water. They are a bit more expensive than the regular, and probably not worth it. The hotel has a large deck that looks out over the boardwalk and beach. All rooms have are air conditioned and include a small refrigerator. They offer coffee and "baked goods" (i.e., Dunkin Donuts) in the morning. The staff is friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

One caveat, though. The parking lot is pretty tight. We were quite glad that our car wasn't terribly big. I don't know how anyone with a big SUV maneuvered into a space!
