I have been with Community for 12+ years and I have 3 dogs. I have seen nearly every1 in the practice & each 1 is terriffi!! Especially Dr. Lee...she is very open, caring & sensitive. She had her hands full with 3 large dogs in one room to boot & she took her time with ea one & me. This is a great place!!

My parents first started using Community 30 years ago, and my family uses them now for our dogs and cats. We have been through life and death with them, and in particular I note Dr. Lorig for her respectfulness on all counts, including financial sensitivities where it applies to expensive tests and her sensitivities to the grief my small children felt on losing their cat and through the protracted illness of my dog.

While I have not always been thrilled with some of the doc's personalities (the one I had a real problem with, Dr. Lee, is no longer there per the web site's roster), I would without reservation recommend this office and its staff. True, some of the docs have more personality and better communication skills than others, as with any business. But the docs whose communication skills are not as strong are exceptional diagnosticians and surgeons having "written the books" and done classic research on some diseases. It's a really good mix, because those skill groupings compliment each other.

I would think that most vets can administer a healthy dog checkup and give annual shots. But ultimately when one NEEDS a vet because a loved pet is ill, these are the people who can help both the pet and people get through it.

I brought my two cats there until they almost killed one of them. The cat was sick and required IV antibiotics and saline to rehydrate. They didn't bother to change the bandage so it was on for over 3 days and had cut the circulation off to his paw. They "didn't bother to change it because he was fussy." However, they chose to sedate him "because you could hear his cries in the parking lot" which I'm sure was because he was in pain but they did not realize that. Of course, they chose to bill me for the sedatives too. They told me to observe his paw closely because they may have to remove it if he didn't start to use it. Fortunately, the swelling went down over the next few days but I never went back.

I have two bearded dragons and one of them has been extremely sick. The vet I have taken her to in the past gave me a dire diagnosis and suggested we euthanize her. I decided to try and treat her.

I made an appointment for a second opinion with Dr. Adelsohn because I didn't want to keep having my beardie suffer if there truely wasn't any hope. I had my first appointment yesterday and Dr. Adelsohn is EXCELLENT. She is caring and thorough and knows reptiles. She spent well over an hour answering my questions, running tests, and creating a treatment plan. Today, she called me to give me blood results, and again took the time to answer my questions. She found that the original diagnosis was incorrect. My baby is not out of the woods yet, but I feel much better having found such a good, caring, and knowledgable doctor for her.

I highly recommend her, especially for bearded dragons and reptiles.

Community Animal Hospital has taken great care of our pets for years. They helped us through a difficult time when our beloved dog had cancer and they have helped us evaluate whether a shelter pet was appropriate for our household. We even took our Brownie troop there and we had a great time learning about the hospital, it?s staff and patients.

I used to really like this vet's office. I have been taking my dog and cat there for about 8 years. Their cost is about average for the area. However, last time I was there I decided to use an online pet medication service. They gave me such a hard time. They would not send me or fax me the prescription. They made me come in with my 2 month old child. I called to tell them I was on my way and they said the rx was waiting. When I got there they said the vet never wrote it and I needed to wait a half hour or come back. I chose to come back and the next time it was indeed ready, but I don't understand what happened. They definitely made my life difficult that day.

This is a large veterinary practice handling mostly dogs and cats. They have an onsite pharmacy and can operate on pets here. They provide quality care and they have a large parking lot. They have separate waiting areas for dogs and cats. They are often 15 mins + behind on appointments.
