Rothman Animal Hospital

I recently switched to Rothman Animal Hospital and I am thrilled with the exceptional service I received. I first went with my hamster; Dr. Rothman handled her so well and really helped her out. Her condition had improved significantly. I will bring all my pets here. The entire staff is kind and courteous and explains everything to you. They won't force you to give your pets any shots that don't absolutely need. ONLY complaint...it is a little high priced. Goes toward the beautiful facilities and knowledgeable staff.

Rothman was recommended by another vet who is in research at GSK. The vet was on her hands and knees with my dog the entire time! She cleaned his teeth with a pic and did an amazing job! She doesn't agree with putting a dog under anaesthesia just for cleaning teeth - I'm a pharmacist and know the dangers of anaethesia!

They ended up with our money and we ended up with broken hearts and the body of our bunny to bury. A simple grooming procedure ending up being a fatal day for my rabbit. He was not attended to in a timely matter which likely resulted in his death. He was supposed to be ready at a certain time but when we went to pick him up, he hadn't even been seen yet. We weren't notified of this by phone and had made a trip to pick him up. We decided to leave him to be groomed because he was already really stressed out, being a nervous rabbit to begin with, and we didn't want to do a second trip to the vet for his sake. Then we were called 2 hours later and told in an unsympathetic way that he was dead. When we went to pick up his body, we were told we needed to pay a fee for some procedure that obviously hadn't worked to save his life. The head doctor there, Dr. Esser, was rude and uncaring. The whole entire situation was mishandled. Money is more important than compassion at this place.

I have been going to Rothman for over 10 years and have been very happy with their services and the cost of taking care of my animals. We have gone to other vets, but will never leave this practice. More than once I have called to ask a question and every time they were very helpful. I have always felt that everyone cares, you can't fake that. I have recommended this vet to many pet owners and will continue to do so.

This place saw my dog 2 times for a bloody nose they tried to tell me that he looks like he was poisoned. 2nd time gave me records and said not to come back because they could not do anything more for my dog. After taking over 6oo bucks from me. They gave several different meds that made his condition worse, but when we found this out it was too late a week later my dog was on his death bed and had to be put down due to cancer!!!

CONS: docs dont diagnose. they give out meds for anything and even herbal meds???

Very Expensive! Everytime I go here it costs about $150. Now I need to get my pup spayed and it will be around 320 and shes only 4 lbs? Nice people tho.

My dog had surgery on it's left ear for a chronic ear infection and was referred to Rothman by my regular vet. I went in for a consultation and was explained the entire process and what my dog would expect including what will happen after the procedure.

I brought my dog in at 7 a.m. and was promptly taking into the operating room where my dog was put under during the operation. Afterwards they made sure my dog was alert and wasn't in too much pain. The staff was very friendly and they sent all the paperwork to my regular vet for processing so I could have follow-up visits with my normal vet.

CONS:

I recently decided to try this office. Owning 5 cats I had decided to change vets and decided to try this one. The vet was wonderful. They didn't try to push me into doing any thing i didnt want to and didnt try to run me up a bill. The techs seemed extremely nice. I am a very picky person when it comes to my pets and I definitely felt comfortable there with my cat. I definitely recommend this office.

PROS: Vet was friendly and didn't try to push me into tests right away
CONS: None...I was extremely happy with my first visit there and will go back

My best friend is an older lady who used to breed cats and has a total of eighteen animals. She swears by Dr. Rothman and so does her husband who has two dogs. Dr. Rothman takes plenty of time for the exam and is very knowedgeable and has catred for all my friends animals. He is a very compassionate man and treats the animals as if they were family. He is nice to talk too and a great clinic Doctor.

PROS: Accessable, Competent and Available when needed.
CONS:

This is where you want to take the one you love. The staff is fantastic at helping your animals every need. There is always a dr on call and they are open late and on saturdays what more could you ask for in an animal hospital.
