This was the worst experience I ever had. We had to wait over an hour. People that came in after us were served first. The owner went around socializing in his Chef outfit instead of making sure that his kitchen was running smoothly. The food was dry and old. My dining partner's food was vegetables and potato side that were burned. His chicken was hard to describe being that it was overcooked and brown. Mine was stuffed chicken that was dry, the spinach could stand alone and the cheese was firm and not oozing from the chicken. I had to saw it with a knife. I had the pasta as a side and it had a drop of sauce and the pasta was like glue. My first impression was that it was cooked and forgotten about and reheated, then microwaved. All of our meals had the burned rubbery flavor. As an Italian who cooks anything and I am an excellent cook, maybe my expectations were above the general dining population in the area who might not know how it should taste.
The cost was somewhere around $50 to $60. I did not take leftovers home.

You can dine in doors or al fresco. The food is delicious! I recommend dining here during one of south Jersey's many restaurant weeks. The $30 price is worth is for a fresh and locally-grown four-course meal.

Trattoria Barone is a great Italian BYOB restaurant located in Barclay. They always have a fresh fish special and maybe a hand cut THICK chop. Truly delicious and something for everyone.
