My wife and I went for dinner last Saturday night and everything has vastly improved since our last experience a couple years ago. The dining room was lovely and had great ambiance. Our server was very friendly and professional. The manager even stopped by to help us pick out the perfect wine for our dinner. We had the scallops and the lobster and they were cooked perfectly. Even though the restaurant and bar were very busy, they made us feel like family. We will definitely be back!

Ramsey Golf & Country Club Lakeside Grill & Abbey have fantastic quality of food and selection. The new Chef Arthur is very talented and the atmosphere overlooking the golf course is just gorgeous. We met the Restaurant manager Joe Carrier, who was very attentive and friendly. I think I'll invite some more of my friends to enjoy the experience. By the way the restaurants are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC . BAR too. Music is great every Thursday night. Just a wonderful all around good experience. Don't miss the Ramsey Golf & Country Club for a fun time at the Lakeside Grill or Abbey or even the music at the Bar !!!!!!!

This weekend we celebrated my daughter's bat mitzvah at the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. It was outstanding in every way. 1. Mike Trieble is the events director. He is competent, flexible, fair and honest. And I'm going to say something here that I hope won't get him fired; he will not recommend anything unnecessary, even if it could make the RG&CC extra cash. Everything that he promised he followed through on. He made valuable recommendations about the party plan 2. The Place is gorgeous. It is understated in its beauty so if your looking for statuettes of gods and goddesses, don't come here. 3. The food was spectacular from the cocktail hour to the first course to desert. Everyone raved about the food. Here's the thing: you cannot judge the food by what you eat in the RG&CC restaurants; the banquet food is far superior. Don't ask why; it just is. 4. It is remarkably reasonable. You will not believe the prices and they are all inclusive of tax and gratuity.

I had my wedding here over the summer. From the moment we booked, our experience with RGCC was second to none. My 3 sisters openly admitted it was the best reception they have ever been to, and they're all married! I think the only way to describe it is simple elegance. The food was great and we're still receiving compliments. Michael and his staff met our every need. We'd recommend it to anyone.

I went to the Lakeside Grille which is 1 of 2 restaurants at the club. The food was fantastic! I always thought that you had to be a member to eat there but they are open to the public. Servers were friendly and very accommodating! If you've never been here before give it a try!

I went to a wedding here over the weekend in which my boyfriends best friend got married. I've been to 9 weddings over the past 2 years, and this place ranks in the top 3 for sure. First of all, the grounds and views at this place are amazing! The cocktail hour setup is so different than any other wedding I've ever been to, in which it is a very intimate space in which the guests mingle instead of sitting and stuffing their faces. The main room for the reception overlooks the golf course through a glass atrium. The food was to die for and the service was great as everyone that works there seems to be genuinely friendly. If your looking for marble floors and roman statues, than this isn't the place for you. But, if your looking for somewhere that is different from your average wedding, I think this place is for you. I actually am recently engaged and want to have my wedding there but our numbers would be too large.

I recently attended a wedding at the Ramsey Country Club. I'd like to provide an extended review of my experience as a guest.1. Layout: As guests were arriving with gifts, there was no table to place them on, they had to hold them or walk downstairs into the reception area to place them on a table-poor planning. The food stations were very cramped, they should have moved one outside to accommodate for such a large guest list. There are pillars in the room and where they put the bride and groom we couldn't see them from our table. The stairs are narrow and easy to fall down. The dance floor is small. The ceilings are low and you feel very cramped inside.2. Food: It was wedding food. It was very difficult to get to the stations because they were in cramped corners. They only had one attendant which was insufficient. They should also teach their staff on how to pass their appetizers- come out of different doors so that you get past the first crowd of people and other people can try it. The croutons in the salad were soggy and I spit them out. The Prime Rib was actually 1/2 way decent, cooked how I ordered it. The chicken had the taste of burnt plastic. The dessert tray was the best food of the night. At least they know how to cook Italian pastries!3. Beverages: I spit my first drink back into the glass. I ordered a cosmo (which I would think is a pretty standard drink) and it was disgusting. I also think they need to update their barware-they didn't have any martini glasses, and it's difficult to drink a regular martini in a red-wine glass. Oh- and my husband had to order everything "double" to have any alcohol in it. Would I ever plan a wedding there- NO WAY IN HELL!

I had my 40th birthday party at the Ramsey Country Club on May 9th, 2009. I sent the following letter the next day to the catering manager, I have had no repsonse:
Michael,

I was very disappointed in the staff last night. I had specifically asked to have at least 1 staff per 15 guests - you knew I was concerned about people getting table service. I hardly saw the staff all night - and I don't think I saw more than four servers at all.

We had agreed to have coffee served at table, if people wanted espresso, etc., you did not provide that.

People were literally looking for cake - I took home 3/4 of the sheet cake - you did not cut and serve the cake! Only one girl was bringing out trays of cake. That was a HUGE waste.

I was most upset about my party favors, which I spent time and money on, and which you KNEW I wanted distributed, you said you would replace them on the placecard table, no one did this, let alone help hand them out. They were hidden when most of the guest had departed. I did NOT appreciate your comment "It's not our job to hand out your party favours." In fact, it was, as we had specifically discussed this. Is that something you say to your brides?

We also had discussed at the time of booking that I wanted extended cocktail hour. You were not prepared for this.

Jo did a nice job and I hope you will pass on her tip, but she really should have had help the whole cocktail hour. I should not have had lines at the bar like that.

I am afraid I cannot recommend the service. The fact that there "was a fight in the bar" was not an excuse for my favours and cake not being attended to. The upstairs staff should deal with that.

I have had nothing but good experiences at RGCC. I had my daughters wedding at the facility, and after a full year we are still getting compliments. Michael Treible was our Maitre D, and he was absolutely the best. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have 2 great restaurants too.

Ramsey Golf & Country Club has a very nice dining facility. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant. The food is quite good and the service is friendly. Don't forget they are open for lunch.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Let me start with their normal restuarant in their Abbey. The food is fantastic and what is even better is that you do not have to be a club member in order to eat here- it is open to the public. The food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable for what you are getting. The people are very friendly and nice.
Now, you can also have large parties (i.e- weddings, showers, etc) here. We had our wedding here and it was amazing. I cannot tell you how, 7 months later, people are still raving about how fantastic everything was- from the food to the service to the valet parking to the grounds being picturesque. I could go on and on but I would be here forever. The prices were fantastic. It is not a wedding factory. And the food was terrific!! Definitely 5 starts; they went above and beyond on everything. FABULOUS!!

This is a magnificent Old World Stone castle like setting tucked back off Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey. You take a winding road to the entrance and its a step back in time.

This is an absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding or function in general. It also serves as a lovely formal or casual dining spot with music every Thursday nit inthe August. Very romantic.

PROS: Very romantic
CONS: None
