Komegashi too, our second venue, offers a more contemporary setting and cuisine than the original Komegashi. Here, we feature an attractive Manhattan skyline view. Add in Komegashi too's unique neo-modern style Japanese food, created by Executive Chef Mieko Sasaki, and you're on your way to creating an unforgetable dining experience. At Komegashi too, we offer a large variety of traditional sushi as well as neo-Japanese fusion cuisine, featuring new sauce combinations, ingredients, tastes, and modern styling presentations. Komegashi too is located next to Newport Marina, with our main dining room overseeing a spectacular and romantic view of the downtown Manhattan skyline. For the casual diner, we also have a popular full-service bar. So, whether you looking to relax with a cocktail and friendly conversation or nosh on exquisitely prepared sushi, make it Komegashi too.

Ratings_icons i love komegashi too!!

i love going to komegashi too!! the people there are so nice. the hostesses are so helpful and sweet. i go probably at least two times a week and i always feel so welcomed.. lately i've only had time to do delivery, but all the girls are so helpful and give great suggestions. i try my best to avoid doing delivery because delivery takes soooo long. whenever i did delivered, the hostesses were always so pleasant to talk to, reassured me the correct time and told me exactly when the delivery man left. whenever i sat at the bar the lady that use to work there was so rude. maybe because i was a girl and i didnt tell her how great she looked? whenever i dined in i love the sushi guys, they are so much fun.. the food always comes out in a decent time.. and the management is great! whoever the manager is that night always walks and makes sure everything is going well. i love eatting there, i definitely feel that people know how to make their customers happy!

Ratings_icons I love this place!!

Komegashi Too is my absolute favorite sushi restaurant in my good old home state of New Jersey. And though it is in NJ, the caliber of the restaurant and food is such that it could easily fit in if it were transplanted across the Hudson River to Manhattan (unfortunately, the prices somewhat reflect this... but you do get what you pay for!). The ambiance is dateworthy, the service is polite and efficient, and the sushi is delicious, fresh, and well-presented. I especially love their excellent variety of inventive rolls. My favorite is their mini godzilla roll (I sometimes can't resist from ordering a second plate of it), which can only be described as little bundles of crunchy, spicy, flavorful perfection.

Ratings_icons bad service and overpriced

Jennifer A.

I took my family tonight, June 10, to komegashi 2 for my father's birthday just like I do for all occasions. I have been a loyal customer since the inception of Komegashi on Warren St. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years - eating at both restaurants at least 2x a month and ordering for my business at least once a week. I am very familiar w/ the staff and the delivery man as they are with me. But tonight, I made a decision that Komegashi has changed and it is not a place where I want to bring my family and friends anymore. I came in a 5:30 w/ my family of 6 and the restaurant was practically empty because it was so early. I asked the hostess in the turquoise dress to seat us by the window and she flat out refused to put 2 small tables together for us - stating that they don't seat parties of more than 4 in that area. This was a blatant lie since that is where we sit during all our family dinners. I even have pictures that Komegashi takes during the occasions...mother's day/father's day. I did not feel like arguing with her so I asked if we could sit on the other side of the curtain. She refused again and insisted that we sit by the bar where there is no sunlight - even when I told her that my parents were elderly and have a hard time reading the menu there because it is so dark. The reason she didn't want us to sit on the other side of the curtain was because there was a table reserved for 20 on the right side of the area. I asked to be seated on the other side where there was a table for six and she still refused because she said "service will be very bad there". She kept insisting that the area where we wanted to be seated would very busy because of the party of 20. I saw the reservation card on the table for the party of 20 and they were not coming in until 7:30. So I don't know why she couldn't seat us near those tables when we arrived at 5:30. I think she didn't want to seat us by the kitchen because there was a table next to the empty one that full of her friends. She begrudgingly sat us there finally and kept saying that service is going to be terrible there. It was such an unpleasant experience for all of us and it nearly ruined my father's birthday. I felt like my money was no good there and my loyalty meant nothing to the proprietors. If the owners care at all about pleasing their customers, old long time ones or new ones, they would change this woman's position in the restaurant because she was so unwelcoming and rude. I have my own business and have had it for 14 years now and if I spoke to my customers like that, I would lose each and every one of them. It's just a matter of time before the rude staff and escalating prices affect this restaurant's attendance. We left the restaurant at 7:30 - just as the party of 20 were arriving.

Ratings_icons Watch out for added gratuity

Lmandorla

We have been going there for years, the sushi is usually exceptional (we were only disappointed on a couple of rare occasions). Over the past few months, we have, however, noticed a pattern of decreasing service quality, cost cutting (no more parking validation), price increases and lately mandatory 20% gratuity with no notice whatsoever. Be warned!

Pros: Good food

Cons: So-so service, dishonest tip policy

Ratings_icons Worst Service

markymark1010

Food is without a doubt good but since it is a monopoly in the area the service is consistently awful. If I get an urge for sushi I order from here then swear off for 3 months because of the service and get my ushi in the City. It's a shame because this place could be good. FYI I have gotten delivery and eaten inhouse and either way the service lacks. In an jam give it a shot, otherwise avoid.

Pros: Location

Cons: Service

I have been going there for over ten years...Komegashi 1 and 2. It's gone downhill - the service, the amount of food, the prices....I think they know that they don't have that much competition around so they are taking advantage of that...instead of nurturing loyal customers, their tactics are pushing them away. Manhattan is only a train ride away from them w/ cheaper, better, fresher, and tastier food.

Ratings_icons Better than the rest!

For quality, service, ambiance,& energy, there is none better than Komegashi, too, AKA K2. What makes K2 so unique is its ultimate desire to please the customer. That means attending to most dietary needs and requests. What impresses me most about K2 is the creative menu, the variety & number of items, & the ever-changing selections, all of which are presented artistically and, by the way, are delectable! Whenever I have a yen for Japanese food, and that is quite often, my choice is none other than Komegashi, too.

Pros: free parking, convenient location, fresh food

Cons: none

Ratings_icons Fresh!!

macon212

I am a regular here, almost 2~4 days a week. There are only one word to describe the sushi experience Fresh!! I've been many different restaurants, this is the place when you put the freshest fish in your mouth and you know you are in heaven. The new White Salmon is the best on the planet, and nobody has a better skirt steak. I love the Chilean sea bass as well as all the hand rolls.

Pros: sushi, window seats, ambience, desserts, valided parking

Cons: while wait for sushi just get another drink!!

Ratings_icons Fresh Sushi in Jersey City

kentrosi

I was staying in the hotel next door. Needless to say I ate there the first time out of convenience. Was I a lucky guy! The sushi was very fresh. The pieces were good size. I had several of their noodle dishes as well. There is plenty to choose from for the non-sushi crowd. If they would just ban smoking in the resturant, it would be perfect.

Pros: quality, selection, location

Cons: smoking allowed

Ratings_icons A new sushi experience

SlyVixen

We had a birthday party here recently and the food and service was amazing. Serving Japanese/French fusion cuisine, the food is a far cry from your typical sushi combos. Not only was the sushi fresh, they also served other entrees allowed each guest something to choose from and we all left happy (try the duck!) The service was a bit slow and the portions are a bit small so if you are hungry and in a rush, this is not the place for you.

Pros: Service, good parking, good for groups

Cons: Pricey, slow

Desserts-Banana Foster-yes, they're that good, so is the fried ice cream and green tea creme brulee!
Go! It's great!

Cons: reserve window seats

Is a romantic place too with the seating at the window with NY city skylines. The seats
are limited and in high demand.
