We sincerely thank Our Mericiful Benefactor, Merciful Redeemer Allah for blessing us with so many fond and historical memories. This unique house of worship was totally generated and evolved by the local, sincere African-American Muslim Community first under the original Nation of Islam (Hon. Elijah Muhammad-Muhammad's Temple No. 10) and later to further be guided to follow the Sunnah (tradition of Prophet Muhammed, Prayers and Peace Upon Him) of the main-stream Muslims by our late bro. Imam W. Deen Muhammed. This community is unique in that it trusted in Alimghty G'd to instill the proper divine guidance and leadership form it's own ethnic and cultural roots and blessed many, many people from all walks of life to reap abundant blessings and knowledge. This is still a beautiful facility to worship in and all are cordially invited to worship not the house, but the Lord of the House "only"! May Allah guide and protect the Righteous, ameen!

In reference to the post on 11/27/07 by Asilah W. I greatly disagree with her assessment. I attended Salatul Jumaa (Friday Congregational Prayer) earlier today. Not once was W.D. Muhammad's name mentioned and all examples given were from Qur'an and Hadith. I also stayed for a few hours afterwards and no one even brought up his name, even though he recently died.

I recently relocated from DC to New Jersey and this is the place I have chosen as my primary place of worship even though I was not nearly as involved with their affiliate, Masjid Muhammad in Washington, DC. I do not consider myself as one who adheres to the teachings of my Muslim brother, W.D. Muhammad, and I have certainly never been a part of the Nation of Islam as many of his most staunch followers are. Asilah W. made it sound as though we are talking about some very misguided people because the women pray in one big room with the men. I am a Hajji. At Masjid Haram (the focal point in Mecca for Muslims worldwide) the women circled the same Kaba on the same floor as the men, and yes, at the same time. When it was time for any one of the five daily salat (prayer) the men and women lined up together as opposed to scattering in different directions to separate themselves.

The composure of attendees at Masjid Muhammad today had some resemblance to Hajj in that there were people from many different countries, cultures and backgrounds. To me, this mixture is better than going somewhere else in the city where I would be one of the few African-Americans in attendance, or some Egyptian coming to a Masjid where, other than him, there is nothing but African-Americans in attendance.

Let's open our eyes. This might help us to open our hearts to love and encourage one another as Muslim brothers and sisters. I find Masjid Muhammad in Atlantic City, NJ to be a suitable place for any Muslim to worship.

I wouldnt Recommend this Masjid, I think they Follow the misguided Teachings of W.D. Muhammad, which is not upon correct teachings of the last and final messenger.

Their is a open space where the men and woman sit together, there is no separate areas for the men only, and for the women only.. 1 big ole' room where every body can peep every body.

Again, don't with out a doubt this facility is not upon the correct islamic creed.
