The food and the ambience are really good, and the customer service is even better. The chefs accommodated all the requests we had when ordering our food, and the place is very decently priced.

I'm an Indian and a huge fan of Indo chinese food. I went to this restaurant after reading many good reviews. The place was Ok, but the food and service were horrible. We ordered Corriander soup, chicken fried rice, Chicken in ginger, fish in garlic sauce and fried dumplings. The food came in a flash, that made me doubt the freshness of the dish. I was not wrong. The dumpling tasted like a readymade frozen dumpling. Stuffing was not fresh. The sauces tasted similar, chicken and fish smelled. Soup was Ok. Chicken fried rice also tasted old. Overall very pricey for poor quality food.

A group of us had recently been to Ming Indo-Chinese restaurant in Edison and we were really disappointed. This was our first visit to the place after a few friends and sites suggested that they are the best in Indo-Chinese food. The atmosphere is great, and the food is good, but the service is really bad, and that spoils the experience.

We ordered two gravy dishes, assuming like other Indo-Chinese restaurants, that the dishes will be accompanied with white rice. But that was not the case. The menu did not mention anything, and neither did our waiter while taking the order. Once we received the dish, when we asked the waiter why he didn't inform us that rice will not be included, he basically shrugged us of saying that we should have asked him and he "assumed" we did not want rice with the gravy. For a restaurant this upscale and costly, they should keep better people to serve the food too. Almost always, when we were served with water, the waiter would end up pouring water in to our dishes while we were eating. This is by far the stupidest mistake you can make when serving water. It's always better to ask for the glass, take the glass, fill it and then keep it back.

I have been to this place at least twice and I believe everything is horrible about this restaurant from their rude host who seats you, to the waiter and staff who serve the food. Now to the food. It is sub-par and they cook it in the same kitchen as Moghul. Also this one time a group of us went and everyone ordered this one particular soup that has Scallions in it and they all ended up getting sick. Also the Manchurian chicken smelled like it was in Mop Water. I wish I was lying. The reason I give this place one star is that they fashion themselves as a upscale restaurant and they are not at a 5 Star Level that they think they are. I've been to most of the Mehtani Restaurants (i.e. Mings, Mings II, Moghul, Moksha, etc) and all of them give you a faux sense of being in a upscale restaurant.

Ming is located in a strip mall in Edison. It offers Chinese food with an Indian twist. I would consider the restaurant more upscale as far as Chinese and Indian restaurants go. The food is delicious, with even the kids finding food on the menu. We have gone there for family dinners as well as dinner out with friends.

Ming is a nice place to go with family or friends, the food is very good and unique. The atmosphere is classy. the tables are not stacked ontop of each other so you do feel you have some privacy while dining. It is a popular place so do make reservations. Its more of a special occasion place as it is a little pricey
