Whereas yes, I will agree, the staff may...MAY seem, off, not rude, but different upon your first visit, they're all really great, nice people that will treat you like "one of the crew" very fast if you visit them more than once or just take the time to speak up. They're eager to take on near any conversation, they give great advice when you're having one of those "need something different" days. And their prices are great. If you do a pull list with them, they won't screw you like most other shops will, so long as you're there every month to pick up your stuff, you'll pay cover price, not whatever they might inflate to.

Also, the shop isn't "smelly". yes, there's a different scent in there, but if you walk into any comic or hobby shop they all smell the same, it's just part of the charm.

The place is not dirty either, run your finger across their boxes, you'll find no dust, these people run a shop in a collectors market, why would they keep a dirty shop? That's just ridiculous of that other reviewer to say.

Definitely one of the most inviting comic stores in the area. Its been around for years, and it certainly looks like it. Place is a bit run down. Decent selection, although the people behind the counter can be rude until you get to know them. They are more then willing to special orders if you ask nicely and pay ahead of time.

PROS: Decent selection and prices
CONS: Not the prettiest store

Recently I was looking for a place to buy some new comic books for my nephew. I came across Paradox Comics while in North Arlington, New Jersey. The store itself was small, which was not necessarily a bad thing, however, the store was dirty and the lighting was horrible. I wasnt helped at all by the staff and was made to feel unwelcome. The store had a funny smell to it and when I made my purchase the worker stuff the books into a bag and handed it to me, not saying a word. Parking was not an easy task and I had to drive around for a few minutes looking for a spot since they have no parking lot. I would highly recommend you look for a different place before shopping here.

PROS: Cheap
CONS: Dirty, Smelly, Gross
