Best flower store I've ever been to!!!
by Anonymous
The selection is incredible! I've been to many garden centers and florists in the neighborhood and this is by far the best. The flowers are the best quality I've had, and they have different types of flowers that most florists do not. The prices are very reasonable considering the plants and flowers are excellent quality. The staff is great! They're so friendly and always willing to help. There was a certain plant I had been looking for for a while and they even were able to special order it for me at no extra charge. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you're satisfied. They have wonderful suggestions for arrangments as well. They'll also repot old plants or new ones without an additional charge. Everyone I send here loves it! Highly recommended! After coming here I would never go anywhere else, they're the best!

Poor Quality flowers and rude staff
by Anonymous
Purchased flowers for Valentine's Day and they died after only 2 days. When I called to express my disappointment I was told that there was nothing that they could do. I'll never order there again.

Lost Order & Rude
by Anonymous
They lost my order for Mother's day and despite being a regular customer they were incredibly rude. They actually had my poor mother in tears looking for her flowers. They could have just called me. I cannot imagine how they run a business with such poor customer service. Its not difficult for me to imagine an overwhelmed lackey deleting orders on mother's day or tossing them out- particularly with the way the superiors act to regular customers on the phone.

The Metropolitan Plant and Flower Exchange is a one-stop shop open 7 days a week for people who want to buy flowers, gift baskets, and more. This awesome store was one of my first stops last spring when I decided to create a small container garden on my stoop. The annuals and perennials I selected from the Metropolitan Plant and Flower Exchange received a lot of compliments and bloomed for the whole season.
Parking is good here--you can park on either side, and the front, of the shop. Walk around outside and you will notice all of the flowers colorfully displayed with price signs easy to read for each collection. If a price is missing, the staff is helpful and can help you find what you want to purchase in a price range.
This store has great sales on their flowers, greens, and vegetation so you can create a garden without breaking the bank. The Metropolitan Plant and Flower Exchange also will do the flower arrangements and bouquets for weddings and other formal celebrations.
For those who love the look of flowers but not the hassle of caring for them, this store has a large selection of artfully arranged silk flowers that would make great gifts or accents to your own decor.
Personally, I love visiting this shop to get potting soil at a good price, pottery for my plants, and unusual plants for sale--such as the mini lemon tree that caught my eye this season. I also like that it is open 7 days a week, so if I have an event on a Sunday, I can stop by this store for a fresh-cut bouquet.

This place is huge. They have all sorts of houseplants as well as outdoor flowers. The quality of the merchandise is good and the plants are hearty and long lasting. The prices are reasonable and there is plenty of parking.

I've been going to Metropolitan Plant Exchange since it opened in Teaneck. Now there is one located right nearby on Route 17. Its large, well stocked and ALWAYS has items on sale. That fills my criteria.
It carries decorative items for the garden minded as well as huge in house plants, trees almost. There are wonderful pottery items to chose from and the prices are very affordable. Delivery is available if you find yourself with one of those enormous trees.
Another great place for those of us who love greenery.
PROS: Excellent selection
CONS: none
