I have been a patient at medemerge for more than 10 years. My 5 children have gone there as well. As in any medical facility, certain days and times you will have to wait a while.
I usually have regular appts. with Carol Sgambelluri, and she has always been very thorough, patient, and kind. I was recently diagnosed with a serious genetic mutation, and she has been so helpful in getting care for me.
The staff is (mostly) wonderful. I know many of them and they have bent over backwards to assist me, especially the referral dept. I highly recommend them.

Be very careful if you choose this office. The doctors order many unnecessary blood work and x-rays. They have a quota to meet every month in order to remain employed there. from, a former employee

About two years ago, I had scheduled an appointment to see my doctor (normally a walk-in establishment) but Dr. Carol Sgambelluri goes by appt. only... Upon arriving, I felt so humiliated by all the staff. Whether or not they ceased performing some tests at the time of my visit I'm not sure as I hadn't needed to go there for the same tests in a while. Regardless, I had not been told otherwise when providing my answer as to what the nature of my visit was to be when calling in the appt. I'd always been treated well whenever I need to see someone, never any issues with them (except once when dealing with Quest Diagnostics; whom they use to analyze the blood work -I found out 30 days before the bill was due to go to collections that I owed them money!!) Anyhow, they had nothing ready for my appointment, they knew what I was there for & because I didn't have health insurance at the time, I had to pay $400 UP FRONT -so I was expecting a little "courtesy" and instead I was faced with nursing staff talking amongst themselves saying how "ridiculous" this was -literally!
NEVER again will I step foot in that place- I don't care if I'm 2 minutes away with a potentially life threatening situation -I'll never allow people to treat me the way they did when I paid them upfront for 1 simple test -which was an "inconvenience" to them! -ppftt*

The nursing care is wonderful, kind patient, caring! I highly recommend medemerge. I have been a patient for many years, the nursing staff is always helpful and willing to go out of their way to help patients, I wait time is wonderful. As soon as you are put in a room a nurse comes right in to help.

I have been seeing Dr. Yoram Sharon for about ten years now and he is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend requesting him. He listens to your needs and does his best to accomodate you. You don't see many doctors with empathy these days. Dr sharon has the empathy every partient needs.

I recently went to Medemerge for a bout of Laryngitis. I had absolutely no voice, and had to use pen and paper to communicate. After signing in, I was seen within 15 minutes by a Doctor. After being treated the doctor made an appointment for me to see a throat specialist the same day and also check with my insurance company for a refferal. I would reccommend Medemerge to any body who needs to see a Dr. for any type of complaint that does not require an emergancy room visit.

I went to Medemerge to have some blood drawn. The nurse did not run the proper tests and I had to go back again. Each time I waited a very long time. The results were not sent out promptly. The staff seems quite busy, but are still friendly to patients. Although staff will confidently answer insurance questions, they have NO knowledge of billing or insurance issues, and are in no way responsible for the misinformation they provide. Be prepared to receive a bill from them when your insurance does not cover the procedure.
