Bill Healy Designs is a farce. There are very few things (if any at all) that Bill Healy actually "designs". He has been duping unsuspecting and nave shoppers for years. He gets his crystal ware from CHINESE manufacturers at a very low cost, puts them in fancy boxes, puts his name on them, and then charges an exorbitant amount of money for them. This is FALSE ADVERTISING! (you can get the same crystal ware at a Macy's or any other department store for a lot less) If you have been misled and swindled by this person, then you should report him to the State Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs (800-242-5846), and then sue him. There was just an article in todays (9/25/2013) Express Times about a vendor who did the same thing as Bill Healy and misrepresented their merchandise, and then had gotten sued for it. The Plaintiffs won! However, if it makes you feel better to grossly overpay for inferior quality merchandise that Bill Healy puts his name on, then pay no attention to this review that I had just written, and continue to be hoodwinked.

I have patronized Bill Healy Crystal on many occasions. The items I have purchased are of the finest quality crystal made in his workshop. He has repaired items for me as well. He is a consummate professional and has always been extremely courteous. If you need the perfect gift -- something different -- this is the place. It is also a great place to get awards instead of the plastic trophies and one-of-a-kind favors.

I have heard this before, when I lived in Flemington (where Bill Healy had his old store before he moved) that Bill Healy Crystals was not on the up and up, and that was why he initially went out out of business (this unfortunately was after I had spent quite a bit of money on crystal wine glasses and candle stick holders for my wife, that he allegedly made). He opened up shop again in Clinton a few years ago, and apparently he is at it again. A good friend (Mark H. who is a local fireman) of mine had recently purchased a bracelet and crystal ornaments that Bill Healy allegedly "hand crafted", and recommended to his girlfriend (who thought that Mr. Healy was so charming) I told him to take the items to other stores in town or if he had a chance take them to the Phillipsburg or Bridgewater Mall. He reluctantly did that at my request, and much to his surprise, found that one store had the EXACT same items for a fraction of the cost!!! He asked the owner of the store if Bill Healy had "made" the items for him, and the store owner laughed and said that his bracelet and crystals come from CHINA and are easily obtainable at his and other stores in the area! I told my friend that I hate to say that I told you so but...Anyway Mark was pretty upset about being swindled so he brought the bracelet and the crystals back for a refund, and watched how the so called charming man show his true colors (beet red) as he got agitated and defensive. If you buy ANYTHING from "Bill Healy" Crystals, you need to compare prices FIRST, and then get some type of documentation that what he sells to you is actually made by him (yeah good luck) and NOT FROM CHINA!!!

I could not be more disappointed and mystified by my experience with this arrogant "master crystal artist." I brought several Steuben Glass eagles to Bill Healy's shop in Clinton to see if he could polish the bases, which had superficial scratches. First, the owner launched into a diatribe about where Steuben Glass went wrong in making molded pieces instead of blown glass. Then he proceeded to tell me that the pieces were "$15 worth of crystal." I'm well aware of the value of Steuben and have never in my life seen this particular piece for less than $150, and that was a rare deal at auction. In fact, the original retail (and they're not made anymore) was $600. Nevertheless, I wanted to know if Bill could polish one of the pieces for me to give as a retirement gift the following week. He told me it would take six weeks. To polish a flat base of a piece of glass?! Next Bill insisted on showing me his latest corporate gifts, which would have been nice if it didn't come with such a bombastic personality. When I asked for a ball-park estimate to have the Steuben bases polished, he said his son does more of the repairs now, but that he would give me the number of another master crystal artist in Pittsburgh (odd since at the beginning of our conversation he made it sound like he, himself, was the only master crystal artist left in the United States). At this point I said, "Okay, but if I want to bring you additional pieces of my own--for you or your son to fix, what is a ball-park estimate?" He said he could not provide that information. Not even a ballpark. He said it would be "unwise to provide that information." I was absolutely mystified. I just wanted to know the general cost. $50? $100? He refused to answer. He said "I would never give an estimate for a piece unless I took on the work." Well how the heck would I know whether or not I wanted him to do the work without knowing an estimate of the cost? Then Bill said "I gave you the contact information [of another crystal artist,] so I would not give you an estimate." I was dumbfounded. This guy is out there. At this point I said to Bill that he has lost any future business from me. He replied that it would be the first time he's lost a customer. Somehow I doubt it. I will warn everyone I know to steer clear from this place.

I've bought several pieces from Bill Healy and had some of our Waterford glassware repaired. He offers a great value as his workmanship is second to none and outshines mass produced crystal. Also, great stuff for a special gift. I also prefer to support the "small guy"; we need more small/mid size business successes like BHC.

They are very accommodating with repairs and are reasonably priced for same. Their home designed pieces are expensive, but then you must understand that they are custom made by master cutters. We're not talking Luminarc or even Marquis by Waterford. The Healy's workmanship is exceptional and their designs are extraordinary. I've bought several pieces for wedding gifts and the recipients have never been disappointed.

I have to admit i felt a bit uncomfortable in this place, they are professional but a bit overpriced. The store itself has an upscale feel to it which i guess is a good thing, and one downside is they can be expensive when it comes to crystal repair but they are prompt with it. Parking is sparse. I suggest looking other places before comming here but it was not all to bad.
