Now I see why there aren't better reviews for this business, it took 10 minutes to be able to sign on and write a review.
The restaurant wasn't very busy, the bar was. The food was great, the service was pretty good. The Artichoke Francaise Appetizer was amazing!! I would never think to make such a dish. Our family loved it and will defininately be back!!

Wanting to try out a new place tonight, we headed over here. Restaurant is dingy, the little lamp on the table was broken and it was very dark inside. The prime rib was of low quality (over 25% was cut off and set aside), the salad was warm and the baked potatoe looked like it had been abused by a whore with a veggie fetish. Wife only ate about 1/3 of her dinner, as the shrimp in the pasta still had the tails attached and the sauce was way overwhelming. The bar may be nice but as a restaurant, it fails. Only good thing about tonight was the server, she was a little gem. Too bad for her that she works there, she could really be making some tips at a place that served real food!

The worst! Very dirty and staff is very very rude. Food was cold I found a hair in my salad. When I asked the waitstaff for a credit, I was looked at like at I had three heads. Thumbs down.

Business Response:

Apology I was not made aware of the problem with your dinner. I was here in the restaurant that evening. I apologize that I did not take the time to meet you and your guests. Many of my staff are very polite and very pleasant with their guests. I apologize for your negative experience. I appreciate your constructive criticism. If you give The Lamp Post another chance I would like to have the opportunity to meet you. Sincerely, Michele Geoghegan, The Owner of The Lamp Post.

Its a nice restaurant, but they also have a bar section where you can just go have a couple of drinks. I went there on New Years and it was a pleasant experience, quick with getting your food out, and kept checking to make sure your meal was okay. I would recommend them to friends and family. It can be either just a night out with the girls or a nice date to take your boyfriend/girlfriend.
