1 Stars: Corrado's is most dissappointing (by renae t.)

Went to the store for the second time last night and decided never to go back. The service is the worst I have experienced - both in the grocer and pastry checkout area. The produce is questionable - some fresh, some clearly not. Canolli was just okay. But worse was the way the check out people treat you - like you are causing them pain to have to check you out. Crazy! I'll take my money elsewhere as there are so many fantastic places to shop for pastries, cheese, pasta and the like - places you can anticipate a service smile and not a snarl...

1 Stars: glass like substance in sausage (by michelle o.)

I went to Corrados after seeing it from the GSP. The experience was great, they were playing Frank Sinatra CD's in the store. We bought a package labeled sweet italian sausage with basil., it turned out to be spanish chorizo. While eating it my husband pulled a sharp shard of what appeared to be glass from his mouth. We notified Corrados, nothing happened so we called the health department and gave them the label on the package etc. Nothing happened. You know we won't shop there again.

1 Stars: STUFF IS BAD AND SERVICCE IS SO POOR (by Shalin H.)

i was shopping at this place while back. I went for pastries in bakery department and the tiramisu had rat pooped in there. I don't know if they have rats in the store but it was spoiled. and ladyfinger cookies around the tiramisu cake was out of taste, maybe expired. Cake had hair in it. I told one of the girl working there. She was rude. and gave me a bad look because I told her about the hair in front of all the other customers. They have so many managers not doing anything just standing there like an army keeping eyes on the customers and cashiers if they were stealing something or paying less money. Some managers in the front talk too loud and use bad words in front of all the other kids working there especially customers and girls.

4 Stars: Pete V. (by Pete V.)

I have been going to Corrado's for over 30 years.
Way back when they were on Railroad Ave. in Paterson.
In the last year or so, (since the new store opened)
the quality of food at the Clifton store has suffered tremendously.
They sell fruits/veggies after they start to rot.
The fresh pasta isn't fresh, it is left in the cooler past due dates on the package if it even has an date on the package.
It was the best store for around many many miles but now someone there needs to take charge and bring it back to the quality of foods before they opened the Wayne store.

1 Stars: Stale goods (by b n.)

My friend and I purchased a block of torroni (I don't have the rapper so I don't know how it is spelled) candy and when he went to take a knife to cut it in two, he couldn't. He got a hammer and pounded the knife it and it broke apart like glass. It was so stale that he through it away. What store would sell a product like that? They had a pile of it by the register so it wasn't like it was the last one.

1 Stars: manicotti (by Angry C.)

My husband and I went there recently and bought a few items including two boxes of manicotti. We were very excited when we sat down to eat them and one bite we were so disappointed. They were rotten, spoiled. We were so mad. We also ordered from the cold-cut counter and the land o lakes yellow American was anything but. My seven year old son noticed too and would not eat it. So needless to say we wasted our time and money!

5 Stars: alright (by alicia a.)

I have been to corrado's a few times and i agree with all of the other reviews im seeing- first off- DO NOT- i repeat DO NOT ever go on the weekends- especially if you are shopping with children- just dont- way to many crowds- and I bought a black forest cake there once and one bite told me it was way less than fresh-
the fruits and veggies- although there are a wide selection- sometimes they arent all fresh but as long as you are a careful shopper- you will be fine-
and the prices! all i have to say is wow!
I definitely think that the pros of this store out-weigh the cons
and although i wont trust everything i see there i will go back again to buy the things i do trust! oh and if you go- try their homemade hummus! to die for! the use roasted garlic and fresh herbs- it is delish!

Sometimes some items are not FRESH! Recentli I purchases some italian pasteries. I got them home and 2 cannolis were gree molded inside.
5 Stars: Simply The Best (by Jesse J.)

The Best Supermarket In The State. The only place that compares locally may be Chinatown(NYC) but here there is no hassle. A lot of super-foods and health foods. Kefir, buckwheat, flaxseed, rare candies and such. Wines, meat, the most extensive produce section.Fresh flowers, gift baskets and baked goods.Rare cheeses, fresh fish, dairy, pasta, baked goods, rare juices and honey.Canned goods and sauces.Caviar.Housewares-like meat grinders/slicers and juicers. Large pots and utensils. You will have to go to a regular supermarket for paper-goods,pet food, regular soap, etc

1 Stars: NO FRESH FOOD / NOT GREAT (by Phil S.)

I don't know what evryone else here is buying and I can;t see the good reviews... but....

I live in Clifton and shop here every so often... but everytime I go the fruit/veggies are bad, and the ones I do buy don't ripe they way they should. The bananas go from green to green with spots to moosh. The cukes are always wiltey (along with the other vegies), and so on... I don't know who Corrados buy from but I think they get the fruit/veggys as a throw-awy from other stores. If you do buy anything use it that day!

BUT I will say I do like the cheese and olives counter! Not the coldcut counter that has not-so-good coldcuts, and keep away from the dairy also.

4 Stars: If you live in the area, you have to come here! (by Rosemary M.)

This is THE PLACE to buy all of your produce & meats. You can't beat the quality or the price. It's a little tricky getting here but well worth the trip. Say hello to Larry in the Meat Dept., he's very helpful.

Also, the Farmer's Market is nearby, stop by there too. There are plans to open another store in Wayne..can't wait!

5 Stars: I love this place (by Sharon R.)

Going here is an event. You can get all your produce (trust me they'll have it) and your meats. It's conveniently located off Rt 46. It's packed in with the conglomerate of stores (Childrenswear and garden center). Well worth the drive if you don't live local!

5 Stars: Must-go store! Everything you ever wanted or needed under one roof! (by hana s.)

I love this place! We go almost once a week to get our groceries even though it is a 20 minute drive. Large variety of ethnic foods and great produce selection. Prices are reasonable and has others have said it is quite crowded especially during the weekends. Parking is always busy carts are everywhere so in my honest opinion it is better to park farther out so your car would get "bumped" by the carts.

4 Stars: A+ selection, good staff (by anita g.)

The selection is great, especially if you're an avid chef or will be entertaining in your home. They have everything you could possibly need, but I've been there and the staff has been hard to find. Sometimes they just seem to vanish and it's always when I have a question or need something that's not on the shelf. Overall, go in and get what you need and I guarantee that you'll leave with more.

5 Stars: Corrados (by Ed A.)

Cookiing is my hobby so I love to find a market that I can roam through thats has literally everything related to food.

Corrado's is like a fresh market but with imported foods, fish, meats, incredible cheeses and very fresh produce at extremely good prices.

Its large, crowded and packed with the best baked goods, breads, and has an area forkitchen goods too.

Go early, avoid the week ends if you can and enjoy.

PROS: Big,fresh, everything you could possibly want
CONS: Very hectic week ends
