I can't say enough about this facility. My son is 13 years old and has been attending this school for 1 1/2 years. He gets so much individual attention from both Master Gabe, and Instructor Eddie. The program itself is great. He has learned so many things and they truly help the kids to learn and advance at their own pace so that they're able to achieve the most that they possibly can. Master Gabe has an innate ability to know just how much he can pull from a student to get the best out of them. I enjoyed watching my son so much, that when they started adult classes, my name was the first on the list and I've been doing it for 7 months now!

I enjoyed taking my son to Cho's. Located in the A&P shopping center in Pompton Lakes, they offer many classes in Karate for various age groups starting over 3. A 3 week trial had been offered (I think they still offer it) at a price of $39. Not a bad deal since you never know how you child we react to Karate class. Most places you have to sign up for a year, Cho's offers 6 month contracts. I liked that since after 6 months both my son and I needed a break. (3 days a week gets to be a big commitment--especially for a 5 year old!) I will probable sign him up again but not until he is a little older. Although the classes are only 40 minutes long, his attention span is short. He'll do better in a few more years. But I still encourage this activity for kids. It teaches them discipline, respect and gives them lots of activity! My son enjoyed it and Master Gabe and Master Eddie are excellent instructors with LOTS of experience and their great with kids.
