We had to wait 1 hr for our food because they had a party in the other room, the food is good no denying that. the service was mediocre at best, that day Then we got the bill for $65 for 3 burritos and one teeny tiny appetizer enchilada and 3 sodas!!! My burrito was a bean burrito for $14!

We got led to our seats by one of the very macho waiters at the restaurant. At first things seemed fine. One of the waiters brought chips & salsa to our table. The chips were fresh, and the salsa rather mild, but tasty. After 20 minutes, we were done with our chips & salsa, and done with our water, and the food we had ordered still hadn't arrived. Our waiter didn't think to fill up our glasses - or to offer us some more chips & salsa.

30 minutes later, our meals came. The food was decent (tamales, and a meal I can't write here because this site claims it's misspelled.) - the tamales had a nice sauce - slightly lemony - and the other food wasn't bad, though it was soft.

We had to explicitly ask the waiter to fill up our water - and it still took two times before he actually did.

We asked for our unfinished portions to go, and ordered the special dessert - sopapilla (fried tortilla chips with honey, bananas, strawberries and ice cream).

The waiter took our plates and brought back our food in containers - but when we looked, he had only placed the main course - and not the rice, beans, sauce, and sour cream that we had with it. When we asked him about it, he said he had thrown it out. We had to ask him to put some fresh rice in the to go box, which he did only for one of our meals. Plus, he gave us an attitude about it. Excuse me, but since when do you have to ask waiters to pack up ALL the food you paid for - not just what he wants to pack?

After that, the sopapilla could have tasted better, and the black end of banana I found in my portion didn't help either.

Conclusion: the food was okay, but I'll never go back with that kind of service - especially with it being overpriced. There are better, more authentic restaurants down the road in Lakewood.

This place has it all - the atmosphere, the music, the decor, and of course the FOOD! The enchiladas are to die for and everything is prepared fresh and hot, catered exactly to how you want it.

I highly recommend getting a bowl of their fresh homemade guacamole. They bring out a stone bowl and grinder, a whole avocado, and various spices and veggies and make it right there in front of you at the table!

It gets a little crowded on the weekend nights so do call ahead.

What great mexican food! It is always the freshest and prepared to order. The descriptions on the menu are good. The salsa and chips are great too. Something to munch on while your meal is being prepared. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and decorated for an authentic feel. But, the quality of the food is what brings me back time and time again.

Excellent variety of menu. The house specials are amazing. I especilly like the enchiladas suizas or chimichanga tapita. Food is of excellent qualtiy and the servings are large- I usually take some home. Since the food is made to order there is a little wait. The only down side is they only have bottled soft drinks. Coffee is surprisingly good, but usually is brewed when ordered. Great job with to go menu.

These are the best enchiladas anywhere! They are so good and the portions are large! You can eat for 2 days. The only drawback-- no liquor license so unfortunately no margaritas!!

Juanitos II is delicious Mexican food! Everything is always very fresh, and they can make your order hot or mild. The chips and salsa is some of the best I've every had, and the service is always very good. The restaurant can be crowded so it is best to call ahead. Without calling ahead you may have a 10-15 minute wait.

Juanito's II's sign claims that they have authentic Mexican food but my experience is that the food is not authentic at all. I ordered a fajita and it came with broccoli and zucchini which I have never heard of before and hope to not see
