I took my dog to doctor Sam for a surgical procedure my long time vet couldn't provide. I forgot to ask for him for a recommendation. Shame on me. We chose Dr.Sam and All Pets because of their 5 star reviews. After my experience in his office, and talking with others, I find those reviews to be suspect. But I will leave that up to the consumer to decide. All I will say is DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GOING TO THIS MAN.

It was a bizarre and potentially expensive experience. The first thing I noticed was that Dr Sam didn't have any interest in my dog at all. At the vet we normally go to the doctors and desk staff are nurturing and are always petting the animals and interacting with them. You can see their passion and love for dogs and cats.

There was no interaction between Dr. Sam and our dog and no indication whatsoever that he is a man who even likes animals. (There isn't even a treat jar on the counter. ) He didn't touch my dog once while I was there. He kept asking me if my male dog was a girl. I mean, if he would just look down he could see the dog was a boy. During the time I was in his office he asked me at least 5 times if my "baby" was a girl.

The other thing that struck me as odd is how money focused Dr. Sam is. Normally a vet will examine the dog, discuss options, and give you an estimate for the service at the very end. Dr. Sam talked more about how much I would have to pay him than he did about my dog's care. FYI, Dr. Sam doesn't come cheap. It felt very shady that Dr. Sam was so pushy and money focused. He talks so much and in such riddles that my head was spinning. Plus, he wouldn't let me talk. Every time I spoke he cut me off and talked over me.

The third thing that was strange was that he didn't examine my dog at all. He told me what needed to be done attaching a very large price tag to each "service" and what medication he would need but never once did he look at our examine our dog before making his recommendations.

Another odd thing is that Dr. Sam kept leaving to make phone calls or take phone calls. Plus he kept leaving to bring text books in to look up information. I have never been to a vet or doctor who had to keep stopping to look up information in textbooks.

Dr. Sam is a talker but he makes very little sense. He "mansplains" things, talking in circles. I was more confused at the end of the meeting than before I began. When I told him I wanted to consult with my vet for a moment to make sure they were both talking about the same thing, Dr Sam became very aggressive and pushy, talking over me and not letting get a word in edgewise. He made it clear he is the authority and with "due respect to my vet" they aren't as experienced as he is. He took an offended, defensive tone and kept talking louder over me whenever I mentioned that I needed to discuss with my vet.

I told him I didn't feel comfortable leaving my dog with him and left.

I called my vet to get a recommendation for "any vet that isn't Dr.Sam" and he said, "Oh. Dr. Sam. I wish you had asked us first. We're forever cleaning up his messes/"

I did some research on the Dept. of Consumer Affairs website (as well as other places) and learned that Dr.Sam was fined and disciplined for negligence several years ago. I'm so glad I got the heck out of Dodge.

The staff at All Pets truly go above and beyond to make sure their patients are comfortable and taken care of. I took my German Shepherd Trigger to All Pets on new years eve, he was in bad shape. We decided the best course of action would be exploratory surgery, they were supposed to close at 2 but stayed and did the surgery. He was kept there for a few days because he wasn't improving, Dr. Sam opened on days that they were closed just so we could go see Trigger. He just came home and is as happy as ever. All in all Dr. Sam, Dr. Fete and the wonderful staff at All Pets saved my dogs life and I can't express how incredibly grateful I am. They took absolutely amazing care of Trigger and made sure he came home to me.

we went to all pets vet hospital to get our female puppy spayed. we chose this place because they do laser and because they participated with friends of animals voucher. Right off the bat, things were alittle off. They had no record of our apointment nor did anyway call us to confirm beforehand..but they took us anyways..We met with dr Sam. He was very strange, acted very hyper and aggressive. he was very talkative and unprofessional. He asked my husband if he was european and then went on long tangents about president putnin and politics and making jokes. he never even looked at my puppy. He then grabbed my puppy and started touching her privates saying let me make sure its all there (testicles), i said, its a girl, she has no testicles, he acted like he didnt hear me and went on a tangent about a story of someone who wanted there dog neutered but it had no testicles. He was constantly interupted with phone calls in the room and his employees knocking on door , he left the room every few minutes, running around, very disorderly and unprofessional. then he came back , started talking politics again, very bizarre..he grabbed puppy without any warning and put her in the back, then came back , i told him that he didnt even look at her and that her baby tooth would need to be removed during the anesthesia for the spaying.. he brought her back in at that point, he aggressivly grabbed her roughly and tried to pry her mouth open, my puppy is the most sweetest affectionate and friendly dog ever, and her reaction was of fear and heavy resistance. i was soo surprised that a veternarian would approach and handle an animal like that , usually they know how to handle animals. . then he started talking prices, even on the optional items like the cone around the head, preanesthetic bloodwork, etc..he was soo pushy and stubborn not to let me decide. he went on long stories about everything, of things that happened to other people, worst case scenarios, etc..when i told him she got shots at petco-luv your pet clinics "vetco" he carried on about only people who dont love there animals go there and that he charges the same, etc..very off topic. then he talked in detail about her uterus and if he removed it and it was "pink and enlarged" he would charge more money..he was very confusing in how he talked and explained things, extremely difficult to follow and he never really answered your questions. he kept bringing money into the conversation of how much less he charges from other places even when i didnt ask. His stories were drawn out and constantly off topic. i was emmotionally drained and my head was spining after about 30 minutes. me and my husband kept looking at each other in a confused way.when i questioned dr sam a couple times, he would get defensive and start another story. all in all my gut feeling told me to grab my puppy and run as fast away from that dr sam as i could and thats exactly what i did..i excused myself, said i needed to talk to my husband in private, grabbed my puppy and daughter and left. Dr sam came after us in the waiting room and continued this craziness , very defensive, telling me how many dogs "run" after his surgeries and the "1000 surgeries he does" and how great he is , etc.. i saw red flags with the crazy guy from the moment i walked in till the moment i left and thank god i listened to my intuition because i came home and went online immediatly to read reviews---i was shocked and ashamed that i didnt look sooner, this guy is a nut job, the endless accusations of incompetency is correct, i was releived to know that i made the right decision to leave--be careful- i dont think this is a legitimate vetinarian who would care for your pet properly. i dont know if he is right in the head:( i really hope this review helps others:)

I been taking my pets to Dr. Sam for years. Everytime I walk in the door i am greeted by the staff who are always so friendly and caring. As for the doctor he always takes his time with my pets. He never makes me feel like he's rushing to get me in and out. He always answers my questions and if I don't understand something he explains it in a way that I can understand. When it was time for me to put my cat of 19 years down he was so compassionate. He sedated her first and let me spend as much time as i wanted with her until i was ready to go through with it. I must have been in there for an hour before I told him I was ready. After she was gone I stayed with her for another 45 minutes and NOT once did he say are you done I need this room for another client. He was great and when I was leaving he gave me his cell number and said if I need anything to give him a call. A few days later I got a sympathy card from him and the staff. It was a beautiful card. If you want a good vet and a place where you feel like family this is the place to go. As long as I have pets he will be my doctor.

To Trish S.
I invite you to spend a week at my office and see what I see on second opinion from All Pets, and from unhappy All Pets clients. I do not need the negative review to bring in business. I am truly concerned for the pets and their families, and we can discuss in person in more detail if you wish. Otherwise, I think your assumption that I need more business is juvenile and inappropriate. You obviously know where I am located, call to make an appt to speak with me.

Karin D. posted a negative review below titled "Concerned Veterinarian" .... I believe Karin D. is a veterinarian at BAH, which is a competitor of All Pets Vet Hospital.
In today's down ecomomy, some business owners will do anything to discredit a competitor in order to increase revenue for their business. I find it disturbing that Karin D. stoops to such lows as to post a negative review on a rival veterinarian's review site.
I feel that such juvenile behavior is unethical as well as unprofessional.

I would never ever trust my pets with anyone else, I have three dogs and trust Dr Sam and Dr Fette completely. The staff is beyond caring and nice. I have had all sorts of issues with my dogs health and he has been there for me every time, he will stay late or come early to accomodate his furry patients and their parents. He is open 7 days a week - give them a try, you will not be sorry.

DO NOT GO HERE.
Report 1. I took my dog here to be fixed, and the surgery on my dog was horrific. Three years have passed and the "disolving stitches" are still hanging out of my pups belly. She has a massive scar that took much too long to heal.
REPORT 2. The youngest of my cats became sick and began to lose weight. After charging me $400 for tests and the use of his fancy equipment, he told me that there was nothing he could do for my kitty, and it would be $200 for euthinasia and another $200 for creamation. I wish I had never brought her there.
SAVE YOUR PETS & YOURSELF... don't take them here.

I want to thank you Dr. Sam for the wonderful care you and your staff provided for my cat JD over the years. I always felt comfortable leaving him for boarding with the group and he was in good hands. When it finally came the decision to have him go "home" after a very long life for a diabetic cat (17 years!) you and your staff were very compassionate and helpful during that time. We appreciate it.

Dr. Sam I never did thank you for what you did for my golden retriever K.C. I have always had pets and over time used different Veterinarians. I first came to use you when K.C. got sick while we were visiting my daughter Angela, who had just moved here at the time. I was very pleased on your kindness and concern so when we returned to our home in Staten Island I decided to stick with you. Years later when K.C. got so ill I really found out how compassionate you truly are. Letting me stay with her, letting me be there for most of the testing, feeding her with a spoon no Vet I ever knew would do that. Most of all I have to say you kept the cost of all this so affordable. So now that I have Molly and Maggie my two Wheaten's I wanto you to know that you will have us around for a very long time. P.S._ A little note on your whole staff, what can I say.....They too are GREAT! Thank you, Margie Smith

Let us set the record straight about whether Dr. Sam is a DVM. His BVSc degree is the absolute equivalent of a DVM in foreign countries, including England, and should be considered as such in the US.

When he was granted his BVSc in 1993 from Purdue University, the US required that all aspiring vets who had not attended four years of a veterinary program here must spend at least one of year of clinical practice at an accredited veterinary university. He did that at Purdue. He passed. He graduated. He took the NJ licensing test and passed. He is absolutely, positively qualified to practice veterinary medicine in the state of NJ.

We have been taking our beloved dog to Dr. Sam for four years and have had nothing but positive experiences. The other day, I googled his phone number because I didn't have it handy, and I came across these reviews. I was horrrified, thinking we had been taking our pet to someone who was not qualified. AND THAT IS NOT TRUE. I was actually so concerned that I called Purdue, and the nice woman in their Clinical Veterinary Studies program explained the whole thing to me. AND ... she said that nowadays, it is not even necessary to get that one year of clinical studies in the US ... all a vet would need to do is pass the licensing. AND ... she said that the HEAD of the Clinical Veterinary Studies program at Purdue has the same exact degree as Dr. Sam. A BVSc.

Set your minds at ease about that, anyone who is concerned.

My beautiful Boxer wasn't eating much and throwing up. She had lost a lot of weight. I had always gone to Plainfield Animal Group and really love their practice. However, when they reccommended x-rays and ultrasound the price was up there. A friend of mine had recommended Dr. Sam and the price was about $150-$200 less. My instinct told me no but because of finances, I did. It was horrible, he had us bring the dog in didn't discuss anything just took her and said I'll call you to come back for her around 5:30. He called us around 2:30 and said I'm ready. We rushed right over to find out that the ultrasound tech hadn't even got there yet and best of all when she did get ther Dr. Sam said he was too busy to let his technicians help with the ultrasound, and left us in the room to do what we were paying his practice to do-ASSIST WITH THE ULTRASOUND. I would have done it anyway because I loved my dog and she felt more secure with us there. Then Dr. Sam told us several times that her x-rays were great. Nothing wrong with her there. the ultrasound tech said she saw 2 masses and didn't know if they were on or in front of my dogs liver. Dr. Sam came in the room and she showed him and he didn't say anything. When this was all done, he left us in a room and showed us a video of a dog getting a biopsy of the liver and wanted me to leave my dog, pay an additional $500 to get this done. When I questioned him again about the results of the ultrasound and x-rays he wanted me to pay an additional $150 to send them out to someone to read them. He said someone who really knows what they are looking at should really review the ultrasound! I can't tell you how many times I told him I can't get my dog to eat anything and he insisted on selling me $100 worth of pills and wanted me to buy his special dog food. The man is a quack---He talks too much and doesn't listen to you nor does he seem very interested in your pet. In my opinion it feels like he works on your emotions and tries to decipher how much money he can get from you based on your love of your animal. Not to mention grief over a sick animal. I took my dog, ran out of there and never will look back. I took my dog back to Plainfield Animal Hospital with the x-rays and ultrasound on disc. The vet there said that the ultrasound wasn't clear and it may have been an older machine but he very clearly saw the masses in my dogs x-rays where Dr. Sam said multiple times the x-rays were perfect. Sadly, I had to make the decision to put my dog down. I'm not writing this review because I lost my dog to an illness but because Dr. Sam should not be practicing medicine if he can't even read an x-ray. He seems more concerned about his stupid machine that he sticks in the dogs ear and makes believe he is looking at the monitor and his video's and making sure you buy all kinds of medicine because you are vunerable. HE TALKS TOO MUCH AND DOESN'T LISTEN TO YOU!!!

I have been going to my local vets, Plainfield Animal Hospital for a very long time, over 25 years. Last year I needed to get the spay work done on my 3 pug girls. My local vet gave me an estimate of 450-550 dollars to do one spay. With having 3 girls to do, the bill was a bit high. I purchased a spay certificate through Friends of Animals.org. The way that works is that you pay for the spay or neuter certificate and then based on your zip code, they give you a list of participating veterinarians. I selected All Pets to give them a try.

Dr. Sam did the spay on 2 of my pugs and he did a good job with them. He also did a surgery for one of my pug girls to remove struvite bladder stones. Dr. Sam was caring and offered his home phone and cell phone to me, he said I could call him if there was any concerns the night I took her home.

The only down side is that his office is not close for me. In good traffic its a 45 minute ride. Not exactly around the corner.

Dr. Sam has treated my dog Lucky for many years. I finally had to put him down 2 weeks ago,he was 18 years old. I have never met such a caring veterinary. He actually gave me his cell phone number to call him anytime about lucky, before I was deciding what to do. It was the most difficult decision I ever had to make. Dr. Sam and the staff were just wonderful caring and compassionate. Even 3 days after lucky passed they sent me a sympathy card telling me how sorry they were and if there was anything they could do please dont hesitate to call. He gave me breaks on the pricing and on some things didn't even charge. I never felt rushed by him he always took his time with lucky. One time we had to put lucky out to clean his teeth I was right in the room when they put out and after went back in to see the abcess he took out of his mouth. Then I went into recovery with him. He has nothing to hide I was there every step of the way. I love the man and staff. god Bless them all.

My experience with Dr. Sam and All Pets Vet Hospital has been a great one. I have a 7 year old poodle and had been going to another vet in Branchburg. My poodle had not been himself for a few days; lethargic, not eating and trouble urinating. I called my old vet for an appointment and was given one a week away. I tried to explain the need to be seen earlier, but was rudely cut off and told "that's all we can do for you". The next day he was a little worse. I called again and was told to bring in his urine. I did, and after a few hours they called and said my poodle had a serious disease and needed to start daily medication for life. I said I thought the dog should be examined before they started medication, but was again told I had to wait for my appointment. I called All Pets to get a second opinion. I was given an appointment for later that evening. I found out the doctor stayed after hours to see my dog. He was given a complete exam, urine was sent out, and the next day the results were he had an infection. After a few days of antibiotic, he was back to his usual happy self. When I called my old vet to request the records, the secretary yelled at me and told me I was stupid to switch. I have a healthy and happy dog, and have been pleased with Dr. Sam and his care ever since.

I have never written a review, but feel people should be warned. I have had many experiences with lots of veterinarian hospitals. The one thing that they always had in common was the obvious care the doctor felt for the animal. NOT SO WITH THIS PLACE! My dog is 4 lbs and incredibly sweet. He was so unnecessarily rough that she would constantly squeal in pain. She's absolutely terrified of him. He did nothing to ease her obvious fear and really just treated her like an animal. I am very upset that I gave him another chance. I had the same experience and will not be going back again.\r\n\r\n

My cat suddenly was dragging his back legs. I immediately took him to All Pets. Dr. Sam seemed unsure of what was going on....thought it was neurological & gave me some pills to give my cat. Went home, my son did some internet research and found the matching symptoms to be heart related....Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. We took our cat to Animerge but sadly he died the next morning. Could our cat have been saved? Probably not. But if this had been a treatable condition, would Dr. Sam have made the correct diagnosis? Our cat's symptoms were easily found on the internet & were NOT neurological!!! I also agree with others that he doesn't pay the right amount of attention to your pet. During previous visits for routine check-ups, several times he had the vet tech fill in for him when he went to talk to workers doing remodeling of his clinic. He does have some high tech equipment. But......how many vets have large signs outside their building advertising that they do ultrasound???

Beware!!!! For any person that has animals you will see when you walk in you feel that it is just wrong. Its dirty and the staff talk about the so called dr behind his back.. but all the right comments. I heard that he had a degree hanging that was not even his. He uses unsafe measures and should have his business shut down for good. People like him should be in jail. Many people that I have spoken with have had animals die under his care. He usually sells all of the products that you can use for your pets life in one visit since he knows that it is likely that you will never return. Someone with some clout close this mans doors!

If you care about your pets wellfare you will not use this office .There licences should be revoked. Call the board of Veternarian in Trenton and see what they have to say. They only care about one thing, and thats your money . Its a real shame there still in business. There are alot of pets that suffer and die from there neglect. Do not have your pet treated there .

I brought my puppy in for the first time. And since this was my first dog I did not know what to look for or expect. This place was recommended by the store where we bought our puppy. I just was not happy with the Doctor at all he was very confusing to talk and he was not pet friendly at all. So I researched to find another vet not associated with the store we bought our pup from. Not until I had a vet to compare this one to could I really put a finger on what I did not like. Our new vet and all the staff was extremely loving, friendly, caring with our new pup and took the time to explain things to us. Also we found out the first vet gave out pup shots that were not at all necessary, (which is a common practice just to make a buck). This office was gentle and distracted the pup with a treat and she didn't' even flinch when the shots was given, in comparison with the other who just practically stabbed the pup with the needle and having her cry hysterically. Don't waste your time and money!

I am a member of a local dog rescue group. We started to take some of our dogs there because Dr Sam is said to co-operate with rescue groups and his priced were low. After the second or third dog we stopped due to the substandard level of care the dogs received. At the time we did not know this and only found out after one of the spayed females become very sick in her new home. Her new vet had to open her up and he was horrified at the botched spay done on her. The new vet said whoever had done her spay could not have been trained or licensed as a veterinarian in this country. She almost died but with good followup care from her new vet she recovered. If you value the health of your pet stay away from this guy.

I visited Dr. Sam after I had one of the most horrifying experiences at Branchburg Veterinary Hospital at this disgusting and rude practice. I was pleased to walk in to find a friendly (but short) receptionist (can't even find that at my own doctor!) who greeted me and had a genuine care for my animal. While I filled out my paperwork, one of the other technicians came and played with Hershey and even held him so it wasn't so hard for me to hold the pen. Hershey has a little excitement problem and peed on the floor- when this happened at Branchburg Animal Hospital they handed me a roll of paper towels (not even disinfectant spray), but at All Pets, the technician scrubbed the floor for me.

I waited a minimal time to see the doctor, and when I walked into the room I was thrilled to see the technological advances the practice has made. As the doctor checked Hershey's ears (For the record, he looks through the instrument and the monitor) he did a very thorough job. He gave the shots that Hershey had needed for his routine exam while answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. The remainder of the exam went extremely well, and the doctor had a very caring way about him that made Hershey seem very comfortable.

During that visit, I spoke to the doctor about neutering Hershey, and I felt confident that Hershey would be safe and would have a safe surgery. The doctor did explain the risks of the surgery and even made sure that I understood what was happening and the consequences of the surgery. I happily scheduled the neutering within the next two weeks.

When I came to pick Hershey up, The technician took me into the facility where they must keep recovering animals, and I was thrilled to see how sterile and clean everything was. Although Hershey was thrilled to see me, I could see that he had been well cared for- the staff even gave him a blanket so that he was comfortable. Dr. Sam then came and explained the surgery went well and told me how to treat Hershey for the next couple of days.

He is a great man who has an obvious and deep care for his patients and I will continue to go there for years to come. For those in the area looking for veterinarians, I strongly advise you to go to Dr. Sam for affordable, yet caring and professional service.

I got a puppy from a local pet store who had All Pets Vet Hospital in NJ on their list to get a free first visit. The pup needed its shots so I made an appointment and was supposed to get a free exam-free fecal exam- and free pack of deworming pills.

I get to the vet and wait 30 min past my appointment, i was the only one in the waiting room and i was on a long break from work. As i am waiting Dr. Sam is walking back and forth straightening up and stopping to watch the tv that is on in the lobby. Finally He says...ok, i can take you...(i am in shock this this is the DR.)

Already annoyed, I proceeded to ask him a few questions...he must be deaf, after my question instead of answering it he proceeded to talk to me about my job and what i do, and his brother and how rich his brother is. I have never had a dog before so i was curious about the mouting/biting and if the crying while in cage was normal. He never answered one question.

i proceed to watch him carelessly check the pups ears and by careless i mean he put the scope in/not even looking at the moniter where it shows the inside of the ear to tell me everything looks good...give him to an assistant who held him while he gave pedro his shots.

Never weighed him/pet him/asked me his name or anything. He was more interested in my profession than he was for my pup.

As the assistant was holding the dog i asked about trimming the dogs nails...and she happily did so...i asked where i could get a tiny set of clippers for my chi as his nails are itty bitty....she went out to ask dr sam who i hear in the other room say he will bring some out.

At the counter i was charged for the de-worming pills-(he says he no longer does that promotion) and 12$ for a pair of clippers he put in the bag. I got home to find that the clippers were used with a gross bit of nail from either my dog or someone elses...they werent wrapped or anything...just sitting in the bag. Disgusting!

It dosnt surprise me the claims on here of how he uses unsanitary materials. This guy is a wack job who only cares about his $$ and so called title of vet.

I will not go back there again.

We have two male Bengal cats. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the breed, they are a mix of Asian Leopard and domestic cat. The Bengal is bred for show and as pets. These cats are very talkative, doglike, love to be with people and are very adventurous. Which brings me to the reason I am writing this review. Our younger cat, Bulllit II, was behaving listlessly, not interested in eating and not able to speak. At first I thought he was just tired and needed to sleep. Later when his symptoms didn't improve I contacted All Pets Vet Hospital and Dr. Sam.
Dr. Sam recognized immediately that the Bullit II was in distress and suggested he be put on an IV and have a few tests. We agreed and felt assured that Dr. Sam would provide the best possible care. Over the next few days Dr. Sam kept us fully informed of the cats condition and although Bullet II showed some signs of improvement, it was not significant enough for him to be sent home. During this time Dr. Sam followed up on a regular basis to inform us of test results, next step suggestions and offer opinion of the cats condition. BullitII did not have a blockage and X-rays appeared to be fine. Why he couldn't speak or refused to eat was becoming a mystery. Dr. Sam called a pet hospital to consult with his colleagues. It was during this conversation that as Dr. Sam provided me additional details of the tests and their results, I thought that perhaps the condition of the cat was related to a cause that as his owner, only I would have considered. I explained to Dr. Sam that this cat enjoyed playing with flying bugs and perhaps he swallowed a wasp, bee hornet etc. and the bug stung his throat. Dr. Sam recommended an endoscope to view his throat. I agreed to the procedure. After the procedure, Dr. Sam called me and said it appeared that the throat was extremely swollen and irritated, consistent with a sting. We were happy to have found the solution.
I do not for one moment believe my cat would have survived this ordeal had it not been for the outstanding care and attention given by Dr. Sam.
This is a very professional, clean and technically advanced practice. I am so happy we have Dr. Sam as the Vet to our cats!

When my rat developed an abcess, I was at a loss as to where to go. My vet does not have the ability to care for rats, so I asked around & found that All Pets would see him. I made an appointment, brought him in, and was really quite quickly concerned.

Anyone who owns a small pet knows that anesthesia can be very dangerous for them. When I first adopted TC, I looked into neutering him. All the research I did advised against it, simply because just going under the anesthesia can kill them. So when I brought 3 year old TC to All Pets, and they immediately said that they would need to do surgery, I was concerned. I asked about the risk of anesthesia, and the doctor said "you can pick him up at 5:00". I answered, "well, but couldn't he die?" and he again said "you can pick him up at 5:00." I didn't really see that as an answer to my question... I was left without much of a choice, and TC had the surgery.

Luckilly, my little boy lived. However when I returned to All Pets to have his staples taken out, I was in for a shock. I walked into the door with him snuggled up in my arms, and the technician at the front desk immediately threw up her arms and yelled "I'm not touching it!" ummm, I'm sorry? He's a pet? In need? If you are afraid of rats, that's fine - but keep your unproffessional rudeness to yourself.

TC was paralyzed from the waist down after surgery - He lived another year, and luckily I was never in need of a rat doctor again. I would never again take a pet to a hospital that didn't properly explain the risks of surgery, and didn't respect my friend.

I have both worked for and had my animals treated by Dr. Sam. I found that Dr. Sam was a horrible veterinarian that values money and success more than veterinary care. Many times he would perform surgeries completely unsterilized (both instruments and he did not scrub in). He uses his high tech facility to make himself appear more learned and skilled; however, he rarely if at all used most of the instruments he advertises. Overall, I would never take my animal to him again and I feel sorry for anyone who does.

I took my cat to Dr. Sam, and he not only saved his life, but he just made a friend for life! I have worked for other vets in the past, and I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the hospital and the professionalism of his staff. Thanks to Dr. Sam, my Daniel is still happy and healthy. He was kind and caring both to my cat and to me. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

This vet was recommended to me by a friend. I went there when my dog was sick, and was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. The staff was pleasant and caring, and the vet, known as Dr. Sam, took his time with my dog, then myself. He treated me as if I was a longtime client. I am now a longtime client and have recommended him to many others who were pleased as well. The hospital has the latest equipment and is always extremely clean. The groomers are excellent. I will continue to recommend this place to any pet owners I know.

I worked for this man years ago and am sickened by the fact that he still practices. A few things people should know about him before trusting him to care for their animal. 1-when in doubt, recommend euthanasia is his motto, 2-His surgical procedures are completely unsterile (he once asked me to retrieve a surgical instrument from a pile of dirty instruments in a litter box in a sink because he wanted to use it in a surgery! When I refused, he told me I could just spray it with alcohol....I opened a fresh surgery pack and quit a short time later) and 3-Despite using the title DVM in the past HE IS NOT A DVM!!! He did not graduate a vet program in the US and earned a title of BVSc. If you don't believe me you can look him up on the state's website to check veterinary licenses at: http://www.state.nj.us/cgi-bin/consumeraffairs/search/searchentry.pl
He's a sick man who when I left there years ago told me that I better not say anything to anyone about him. He should save his threats for someone less caring of animal rights! By the way if you still have doubts check out what the veterinary board had to say about his "repeated acts of negligence" at their website: http://www.state.nj.us/lps/ca/vetmed/minutes/vet627.htm

I just cannot say enough great things about this veterinarian! As a first time dog owner, I was neurotic about every little thing and dragged my dog to the vet constantly. Oftentimes if no medication was needed (just a little of the doctors time), I wasnt even charged a visit fee. The doctor is truly compassionate about animals. In fact, he has state of the art equipment that most vets dont have. Usually if your pet needs an expensive medical test on its heart, etc, youd have to drive miles to a specialty vet. Instead, this doctor bought all of the equipment for his office. He does surgery with lasers at your option which is less invasive and has a far shorter recovery time. He can easily be reached at off-hours in an emergency and will make arrangements to see you pet immediately if hes available. Theres no wait for an appointment, which is incredible considering how great of a vet he is. I would never trust my dog with another vet again!
