Founded in 1957 by a visionary group of men and women dedicated to Torah, broader knowledge, and an enriched Jewish life, Congregation Beth Shalom provides a warm and intimate atmosphere in which to pray and learn. Beth Shalom is not a work of any one person, but rather the expression of the faith and devotion of a diverse but Jewishly committed community confidently engaging with the modern world while retaining the standards of Orthodoxy. Rabbi Yerachmiel Shapiro is a great spiritual leader, and CBS is the beneficiary of his energetic leadership, forward thinking, and faithful dedication to Jewish values.
