This is the worst establishment I have ever purchased electronics from. After returning an unopened Guitar hero(with the receipt) they told us they didn't know how to do returns. We accepted a store credit at the word of the owner that the Wii Fit would be coming in about a month. Fast forward to months later, no Wii Fit and no cash back. The most unprofessional place that exists. Go buy your games at GameStop!

This store, nestled in Allendale's small main street area, is actually a part of a family owned chain. I've visited both their store in Dumont and Allendale. The store owners are very friendly and of assistance when you want to peruse new titles of video games stored behind the counter. The shop offers goodies like $1 movie rentals, Yu Gi Oh cards, Magic cards, sports collectibles (low-end), and "home casino" items.

You can purchase a gift certificate of any denomination from the shop and it does not have an expiration date like some other stores that I've frequented.

I like to visit Game Zone at the holiday season because they have decently-priced kitchy items for sale that would make good stocking stuffers. I've noticed that kids enjoy hanging out in the shop and networking with the staff. The store has hosted card tournaments--such as and Yu Gi Oh--in the past.

PROS: Has all of the new titles
CONS:

The Game ZOne is a kid magnet of a store. They rent vieos for $1/day. They offer tons of DVDs. Walls of Dvds. They always have the most recent releases. They have collectibles and in general every popular battery operated toy and innumerable games.

They have little gimcracks that the kids like and that are priced within the allowance range for kids. I was under the imression this was a boy store but my grandaughter always asks to go here.

THey now carry Ipod and Ipod accessories.

They tend to act as though you're a stealthy theif which I find annoying but I guess they've had some difficult experiences with sticky kiddy fingers so I can't be too fussy about that..

PROS: Tons of Dvds, games, toys Great kid place
CONS: Staff treats you as a potential theif
