Nice church, but there are definitely issues with the money being thrown around - the ones w/ the money are the ones who get the special treatment and nothing is more so than at the parochial school. Families with lots of kids (i.e. lots of tuition for the school) get the top treatment. Principal definitely has her favorites. She lets a lot of others fall by the wayside. Only the opinions of the "money" people really matter - it's so obvious it's almost painful. Put my sons in for the catholic school upbringing, but the disappointment over the leadership is tremendous!! Also, the cliques are pretty funny - I thought catholic school/church was about accepting all, but I really think it's about accepting those, as long as you have. If you don't "have", don't bother!!

My family started to attend St. E's when the parochial school in our town closed & my brother shifted over to St. E's. We figured we would follow the parish. A few years later a friend, who is a priest, joined the parish which was an added bonus for us. We got married there and our daughters were baptized there. It is a large parish so unless you get involved, it is easy to become lost. The prior monsignor had favorites & was not a very approachable person. The current head priest is much friendlier. People seem to throw alot of money at the parish so sometimes it is kind of a turn off.

PROS: Friendly monsignor; large amount of activities
CONS: too much money bandied about at times- leaves an uncomfortable feeling
