I purchased two pair of glasses with the "buy one pair, get the second free" promotion. The store demanded payment upfront and I expected to get the two specific pair of glasses I wanted. The first pair was fine. The second pair came in with the wrong frame, and I was later told the frame was no longer available. Since Pearle Vision was unable to provide me the two specific frames I paid for under the promotion, I wanted to cancel the order all together. The manager, Eddie, was extremely rude and unaccommodating. Instead of trying to work with me on this, he basically told me his hands are tied and tough luck.
I'm currently in the process of contacting Pearle Vision Corporate, the BBB, and American Express to resolve this. This is DEFINITELY NOT a store you should do business with. Go elsewhere. You'll find better pricing and more friendly staff.
After dealing with the Better Business Bureau, Pearle Vision Corporate, and NJ Attorney General Consumer Affairs Dept, the owner has agreed to refund my credit card. What a fiasco. As it turns out, the man who identified himself as "the boss" wasn't really the boss, rather just an employee with an attitude problem. I brought this to the attention of Drs. White and Auerbacher, owners of the franchise.
