I am speaking on behalf of my father Aram Dovlatyan, the owner, and sole employee of Rockport Jewelers est. 1993. There are two sides to every story and I am here to tell his. It truly does dishearten me to see someone go out of their way

Very high price for simple services. $15 to remove three links from a watch bracelet, and $20 to replace the battery.
Plus tax!

Small store with very little on display. I don't know how he stay's in business.

This retail jewelry store is a HUGE rip-off. We had the worst experience at this jeweler in Ho-Ho-Hus, NJ. He charged us almost $1,800 to appraise two dozen pieces of jewelry after telling me it would cost under $100! We bought a wedding band and a necklace from him and he totally mis-communicated and misled us. Then, he would not make it right. The worst experience EVER! Steer clear of this retailer. We are so upset and he does not care at all.

Rockport Jewelers is a storefront right on the corner of Franklin Turnpike and Maple Avenue. Although I have not purchased jewelry from this establishment, I have had several pieces of jewelry repaired by the owner, and have been very pleased with the results.

When you go inside the small shop, jewelry is on display in glass cases that skirt the store's perimeter and walls. The displays are very elegant and classy. This is obviously a store that specializes in fine jewelry, and while I waited to be served, I was enchanted by all of the precious stones glittering in different gold settings in one of the displays. In the back of the store, behind the counter, is a workstation for repairs.

I've had two necklaces repaired there--one of which is an antique. The work was done flawlessly. I recently returned to have a costume bracelet sized a bit bigger. The jeweler added links to my bracelet and it is very hard to tell what was added as opposed to the bracelet's original size. The cost for the extra links was around $30. I didn't have to wait too long for the work to be done either--just about a week.

If you use Rockport, expect to pay for the quality. This is not a five and dime jewelry shop. If I ever need more repair work done, this is the store I will use.
