Love the sourdough!
by karen p.
Their sourdough bread is fantastic for sandwiches. They have a booth every Friday at the farmer's market in Belen (maybe others too), and i always buy a loaf of sourdough and something else. Today I will make a trip to their store in Albuquerque because i won't be in town Friday. They told me last week to call ahead and they would save me a loaf (they do run out.)

Swiss Alps Bakery is located across from Coronado Center on the North side. Situated in the middle of a strip mall, parking is adequate. The interior of the bakery is very nice and comfortable, unfortunately the food isn't as good as I had hoped. The cake that I ordered was a little dry, and was a disappointment. However, the cookies that I had in store were very good.

you get the real alps taste out of it, the owner is from swiss and speaks german. all kinds of cookies and bread are wonderful to see and smell. the elephant ear is my favorite, sweet, crunch, nice looking, nice smell.
everything is in lying in homemade basket, which reminds you the old way of baking and living. the only problem is that it is in the city of albuquerque. it should have been in a nice village of alps, you get the feeling of it?
price is fairly resonable
PROS: feeling
CONS: n
